  1. Hello, I got all three La Scalas running up front it sounds AMAZING!. One problem that I can not deal with is I can here hiss at my seating position (11 Feet) when nothing is playing. Will this harm the speakers? I am now looking for a quieter amp at least for the fronts. I have alway liked the John Curl Design Halo Amps. I have the A 51, A 52 and A23 with a Arcam AV9. They are just to loud for me. It is the amps that are the problem not the AV9. I want to stay with solid state for the theater. I already have a tube amp for 2 channel listening. What is everybody using with their Heritage set up. I am almost thinking since as you all know that very little power is needed to go back with a reciever like a Arcam AVR 350. I have heard this with Heritage and it is dead silent. What do my forum friends think? rmlowz
  2. Get with me next fathers day if your co is still in business I will buy some. Are they made here in the USA or overseas??
  3. Hello forum friends, I will be placing the center LaScala like IndyKlipschFan. Steve in tech support gave me the idea. I will make a stand for the top and place the bass bin to the side right next to it. I just got some platforms (risers) for my LaScalas. I had a cabinet Co.make them in ash and paint them satin black like the LaScalas. They look awesome! They are the same dimensions as the small riser that is on the bottom of the LaScalas. They are 6 inches high that's how high I think they need to at my house. rmlowz
  4. Thanks Carl for your advise and opinion. You are right the chase is part of the fun! We will see, right now I am thinking on 2 Cornwalls for the side surrounds and 2 Heresey III for the rears. My hobby fund is getting low I might need to wait. Honestly I have never been a real 7.1 fan. Most of the time 5.1 sounds more seperated and discrete IMHO. I might just forget about the 2 backs and go 5.1 maybe even two more LaScalas. I am going to have the 4 650s in the back and watch some movies and see how I like it. I have never done this before having a unmatched system. Take Care, rmlowz
  5. Hello, I ordered the 3rd LaScala on 7-06-07. I was told the normal 6 to 8 weeks build to order I was prepared to wait no problem. I received my one pair in 6 weeks. I called Klipsch yesterday to get a build week the same thing I did when I ordered the other pair. Much to my surprise they told me it shipped and give me a tracking number !! Klipsch must have had one from a split pair or something. Fed Ex Freight delivered it yesterday. The Klipsch Heritage home theater (half of one) is going to be installed tonight. I can hardly wait. Take Care, rmlowz
  6. Happy Birthday Steve, I spoke with him in tech support the other day. He was very knowledgable and helpfull. We got to talking about the Heritage series. He is a veteran in that area for sure, Cornwall home theater and Khorns in a 2 channel set up. Take Care, rmlowz
  7. Hello forum friends, To jbsl, some day soon bring your amp and cd player over I would like to here it also. IndyKlipschfan I don't understand what you mean about the missing frequencies. I set the AV9 to 80 and everything under that goes to the subs? I also have a SMS1 that I use to calibrate the room and speakers. Why do I need the Ultras? This is my second THX Ulta II system. I would not want to own the system without them. They are the very best that Klipsch has ever made IMHO. I am a suboholic I can't just have one, it is a very bad disease ha ha. I enjoy having multiple subs trying new things. This year so far I have had a Def Tech Trinity, DD18 and the JLf113. I bought the Danley last year. Forum member Soundood recommended the Klipsch Ultra amp for the Danley so I got another one for the Danley it works very well. One thing that I have found in my room is that I like how the bass sounds having one sub or subs up front and one or more on the back wall. It is hard to explain but it just sounds better. I also had Auralex design the room for treatment and I installed where they told me to place everything. Believe me room treatments make a big differance. rmlowz
  8. Hello, The Danley is in a whole different league than any thing I have ever owned. It will shake, rattle, feel it in your chest, you name it, move shirt sleeves and pant legs. It will pressurize my room with ease. Many other forum members own them as well. I also have a JL fathom 113 that blends very well with the LaScalas coming out of my Rogue Tempest II integrated. I have owned several DD series Velodynes. I can not tell the differance in my room between the F113 and a DD18. I just sold the DD18 for that reason. Cornwalls in the back sounds very tempting. rmlowz
  9. Hello forum friends, Thanks for the suggestions. I have been down the Khorn as fronts road. My room is 15x18x8. The Khorns were on the short wall thats the only way I could design the theater. Anyways the Khorns did not do as well as the LaScalas on the shortwall in my opinion. 7 LaScalas? Its not the money part. I think they are to big and would be to close to the listening position to give the horns what they need to sound good? We will see who knows some day I might just order 4 more. I am still thinking on 4 Heresy IIIs or 4 Cornwalls would fit better. What I really was wondering was the upgrade path to the Heritage also in the back. Would it sound better than the 650s? Time will tell. It is a four seat theater. Sometimes I think I need to find a different hobby why am I always trying to improve and never happy with what I have. rmlowz
  10. Hello to my forum friends, Due to my busy life I have not been in my theater in a long time (months). In the last week I was able to spend some time also with forum member jbsl enjoying my new 2007 LaScalas. They put a big smile on my face every time I listen to them. Then one day I fired up the projector and was playing with certain demos. I thought and wondered what the LaScala would sound like if I let it do center channel duty. I pulled out the rack and connected the one LaScala for the center and put on a movie with a lot of vocals in the center WOW.I was completly amazed on the clarity and dynamics. It really filled the room. The THX 650 is a very good center but the LaScala just sounded better. I just had to order a black ash LaScala for the center. I will put the 4 650s in the back and the 3 La Scalas in the front. with the Danley DTS20 in the front and the 2 THX Ultras in the back center wall for the subs. This I hope will be a upgrade from the 3 650s in the front. I also have a pair of KS-525 but on most days I like the 650s in the back. I am half there to a Heritage home theater. What do my forum friends think if I got 4 Heresy III for the back instead of the 650s.Would I really here an improvement? I set 7 feet from the side and back surounds. I dont know, I might have to ask Santa Clause for some Heresy IIIs for Christmas. rmlowz

  12. Hello Forum Friends, Thank you Polvoloco for the kind words, Pzannucci is the forum member I told you that I got the Khorns from I just cold not remeber his forum name at the time. Pzannucci give me a call when you get a chance I still have that demo CD I made for you. I don't know when but I will be in touch for forum friends to get togeather. These La Scalas IIs sound amazing maybe a little more of a refined sound then the vintage Khorns. It is to early to tell really on how much different they sound than my Khorns, untill my amp and speakers break in about 100 hrs or so. I was looking at the 60th anniversary Khorns in another thread I don't know I might take this Heritage thing and run with it a little further time will tell. rmlowz
  13. Hello Seti, I am sorry I can not wait that long to sell them. I want to get my room set up and in order. You said you would understand, I have sold them to polvoloco Thanks rmlowz
  14. New price on the Khorns $1,500.00 These speakers are still for sale nobody has bought them. I emailed Seti with all the pictures and contact info. He had to work late and could not get back with me.If you want him to have first offer that is fine. When I get everthing set up I will have some of the local forum friends over. I talked to you on the phone about a month ago dwilawyer about your khorns. I will be using a sub with the La Scalas. That is the reason I bought another DD18 in black instead of cherry (WAF).Like I said, I will let you know when I get it all set up and local forum friends can come over. I don't have a big house though all small houses on the poor side of town. rmlowz
  15. I will be in Myrtle Beach next week but without the Khorns sorry Take Care, rmlowz
  16. Hello, My 2007 La Scalas just got here today. I have deceided to only have one pair of Klipsch Heritage speakers. They are in great shape with only a small stain on one of the top corners. They have the AK2 crossover, K55 Midhorn and K77 tweeter. I will take some pictures tonight and email to those that are interested. $1,750.00 OBO rmlowz
  17. Hello, I just got my first tube integrated amp this weekend. It is a Rogue Tempest II with a Cambride Audio 840C CD player. I hooked it up to my Khorns. The sound is simply amazing. I have never heard all the instuments so seperated for a lack of words. It is kind of spoky the guitar is playing to the right drums in the back vocals up front and so on. This set up blows way past my Haalo C2 A51 combo. I will not be going back to Solid State ever for 2 channel again. rmlowz
  18. Hello, It is time to move on to something else. I am selling in mint condition the Halo combo. Sold as a combo only will not seperate or ship. $4,000.00 this price will not be reduced any further. If I can't sell it for this price I will hold on to it. rmlowz
  19. Hello, I have a limit of four in my theater (no more room!). If I deceide to buy some other manufacture one has to go.Maybe this summer I might try one of Seaton Sounds new subs we will see. rmlowz
  20. It was not a member, I sold it on Audiogon much to my surprise in 6 minutes after the classified was posted. He bought it for 2 channel with a pair of B&W Nautilus. The buyer drove down from Fort Worth yesterday. He will be very impressed for sure. My black DD18 will be here this week. I will have to do without till then. I am going to fire up the Ultras and the Danley at the same time today for the new Bond movie. I plan on blending the DD18 and the Fathom 113 together. rmlowz
  21. NEW PRICE $1,800.00
  22. Hello, One thing that I need to mention is this sub is a reference standard IMHO. I would not want to have a theater without another DD18. I reordered the same sub but in black. A wife request ( she said nothing in the room is cherry why did I get cherry?) It is part of her theater redesign new furniture and all. I think cherry is the best looking one it is beautiful. rmlowz
  23. NEW PRICE $1,900.00
