  2. Hello, I thought this would have sold by now It is is the longest I have had anything for sale. I can pay for some gas to come and pick it up and go to the new price of $4,000.00. for the Klipsch THX system set up and the new RT12d sub. Thanks, rmlowz
  3. Hello, I am going to make this a sweet deal for one of my forum freinds. I will add a RT12d to the system for a total of 4,200.00 firm. I will not sell the sub seperately. I will sell the speakers as a package as stated in my earlier post. I have had a lot of fun playing with this new sub it rocks. Thanks, rmlowz
  4. Hello, I am having a Fall clean up sale here in Austin, getting ready for new winter toys. Will not sell seperately local pick up only 3,400.00 firm. I do not have the subs anymore sold them to RichardP here on the forum. Also I have a Da-Lite Cinema Contour HCCV 110 inch 16x9 screen with pro trim for 700.00. retail on this piece is 1400.00 it is 3 months old. Thanks, rmlowz
  5. Hello, I could not agree with you more Chris. There is a lot of dealers here on the forums. You would not beleive the PMs I get from dealers trying to sell one of there products to me. In my opinion most of the dealers are here to make some extra money. I work in the industry. I am not a dealer it upsets me to see this. In my opinion it is a cheap shot trying to sell on the forums. What's the matter they are not good enough in sales to sell at their place of business? I just had to say somthing the dealer thing has gone to far. rmlowz
  6. Quote Thanks for the input, sounds like the Dantley is a real bargain. At under $4000K including a Crown amp it bests $20K subs. Not the Velodyne 1812 is known for its spectacular SPL capabilities,as its a improved DD18. Hello, The only reason I compared the Danley to the 1812 is its the most exspensive sub that I have had in my house (2 days worth). I have the DD18 the 1812 beats it in output, but its not worth about 3 times the DD18 The Danley is better than the DD18 or the 1812.One thing the Danley has it sounds a lot like the Ultras in what I call mid bass.I have deceide that if you don't have the room go 2 Klipsch Ultras. If you have the room go DTDS 20. Both have about the same MSRP. IMHO rmlowz
  7. Hello, I completed my DTS20 install late last night. WOW This is the biggest upgrade for me in quite a while. The last major upgrade many years ago was going from a receiver to seperates. This is how major this DTS20 is. I have played all my favorite demo stuff and cant beleive it!! I feel it in the concrete slab, the seating and in my chest like no other sub I have owned. I have it connected to a SMS1. I have been playing with all the presets on the remote. Did not even EQ it. I dont know if I want to. The sub fit perfect under my 100 inch Firehak screen. If you have the room I would highly recommend this sub. The sub retails for 3,000 and invest a 1,000 in a outboard amp and you have in my opinion the best sub going right now. I spent 2 days with a Velodyne 1812 that I was thinking on buying before I decedied to go the Danley route. In the same room same demo material the Danley beats it by a long shot. This is all my opinion in what I heard at my house. Take Care, rmlowz
  8. Hello, I can hardly wait the freight company is delivering my DTS20 between 2 and 4 today!! If everything goes as planned Austin should have a simulated earthquake this evening or for sure tomarrow night. rmlowz
  9. Hello Chris, I purchased the passive version. I will be using the same amp as they use for the Ultra IIs by Klipsch. I purchaed some Speakon connections but they dont say + or _. I will go to a pro audio shop here in town to see if they can help me out. Thanks, rmlowz
  10. Hello Chris, Thanks for the measurements. That 871/2 inches will put the sub flush under the screen in my theater. My other alternative would be midpoint on a side wall and I the would box it in and make it look like a column. The Sound Broker website is where got the 84 inches from. He frequents here often maybe he will see this and change the demensions. The next thing I need to do is buy some speakon connections and find out how to make a speaker cable with the right polarity. Thanks again, rmlowz
  11. Hello, The Trinity is right up there with the Ultras and the DD18. Def Tech is not liked in a lot of the forums I dont know why. I enjoyed the Trinity a lot for the 6 months I owned it. The Trinity left my house today making room for the DTS 20. rmlowz
  12. Hello Chris, Is it possible for you to measure the height of your DTS 20 ? In a earlier post I beleive you said the the sub was 20 inches wide instead of 18 inches. I need to know the height because on one website it has it at 84 inches high, the Danley site has it at 88 inces high I am trying to figure out where it will go in my room. this weekend. Thanks, rmlowz
  13. Hello Chris, I will post as soon as I am up and running. They are to ship it out some time next week I had the Ultra II subs that I sold to Richard P. I stiil have a Velodyne DD 18, Def Tech Trinity and one of the new RT12d subs. It has been a lot of fun playing with the subs this long and hot summer we have had here in Texas. I am really curious to see how the DTS 20 compares to the other subs. My freind wants my Trinity for his Def Tech set up I will be selling it to him. Take Care, rmlowz
  14. Thanks Chris, I talked to Scott he said there are two on the back in case you want to run them in series. You can plug into either one of the two . rmlowz
  15. Hello, I could not stand it any longer, all the reading of posts during the last few months on how outstading this sub is. I just ordered a DST20 today. I will be using the Klipsch Ultra II amp to power it. I have one question for any body that might know. When I had my Klipsch Ultra subs they only had one speaker connetion on the back. On the speck sheet for the DTS20 it says it has two speakers conections, the pro connections like the Klipsch. Do I connect both speaker outputs from the amp to both on the Danley? rmlowz
  16. Hello, I have been real busy and finally got a chance last night to play with the new sub a little. All default settings low pass off and in the music mode no auto calibration yet. I put in Holly Cole the train song and I was quite impressed. I felt the bass in the couch. This one goes low below 20 cycles to feel it like that at my house. I am waiting for my new projector to demo some movies.I will let you know my opinion. I really need to spend some more time with it. My life has been to busy lately rmlowz
  17. Thanks Richard, That will be a test for sure. I will be going off memory but I have some demo stuff that I am familier with to put the RT12d through its paces. I think Trey Cannon chimed in way back and I thought he said it will give the Ultras a run for their money. They price out about the same. My ears and time will tell. rmlowz
  18. Hello, I just unboxed my new RT12d last night. It will take some time to set it up with all the tweaks it has to offer. I also ordered a Auralex SFS 112 system with extra sono columns. I am graduating to room treatments wish me luck. I will give you my opinion on the new sub in a few days. rmlowz
  19. Thanks Tom I hope you have many years of enjoyment from your new Klipsch system. rmlowz
