  1. Well I haven't actually got them yet. There ordered and will be here any day now. Just rying to get a jump on things. I also made a mistake on the model. I was speaking about the RF-35's. I'm also getting a RC-35 and I'm guessing they wire up the same.
  2. I know this is very basic to most of you, but for me I've never connected speakers that had more than one set of wire connections. How should I go about connecting my RC-35's? Is there a jumper wire system or am I supposed to run to sets of wires to the speakers? Is there a reason for having more than one set of connections?
  3. Thanks for the great info... No dought I've learned more from both of you (Ki Choi, and richinlr) than a month of reading. Ki Choi your a little to high tech right now for me... maybe in a few months. (I will get those tones though) richinlr, you've come through again. I'm going to make some ajustments tonight while watching Master and Commander (excellent movie for working out your system) imo...
  4. The RX-V650 has the Auto-Optimizer too, which works very well in my opinion... And yes you can tweek it...
  5. Thanks richinir... That pretty much answers my question, except you said leave your Sub crossover as high as it will go... What about the volume on the Sub... Do you leave that as high as it will go also and do the controlling with the reciever as well?
  6. I know this is not a new topic but I'm confused about where the crossover on my reciever (yamaha RX-V650) and my Sub. (Velodyne CHT-10) should be set. Right now the YPAO on my yammie set the the Sub at both L/R and 160. I've got Sub. set at (with 90 being 12:00 postition) 100 or so or about the 1:30 postion. It sounds fine but I was wondering if there can be some fine tuning. Should the Sub, or reciever be set to crossover at the mains lowest frequincy? Or am I totally confused here?
  7. Actually I do already have Dolby Digital, 5.1 and DTS 6.1 with 95-95-95 front, 95-95-95 surround and rear surround. From the best I can tell the difference is with the RX-V1400 I'll be getting THX, 110X7, learner remote, detachable power chord, etc... I have also read that the RX-V1400 has a fan... Not sure about my RX-V650.
  8. You need to up-date Norton every other day. Don't wait on it to do it once a week...
  9. I have a RX-V650 now and have the option to upgrade to the RX-V1400 for around $150... I'm happy with my RX-V650 but was just thinking what the heck. Is the 1400 worth the difference or should I save my money for other equipment?
  10. Kenstr Kind of new at this... Not sure what type of info you allowed to give. I'm about 2 weeks away from buying some RF-35's and would really like to know some town/store names... The best store price I'm looking at are $750...
