  1. In my living room I have the system listed in my signature. In my bedroon, I have a 26" LCD Sony DVP-NS975V and Panasonic SA-HT05. My question is should I exchange the Denon DVD player with the Sony since the Sony does upconversion? I'm using the DVI/HDMI cable for the Sony but the Denon does not have this option. I'm not upgrading yet because I want to wait and see if Blue Ray or HD DVD wins the war. Thanks in advance.

  2. I'm in no way bashing Klipsch nor do I want to turn this into that kind

of session. I think their speakers are awesome. I just think that Altec

Lansing beat them on this one with a better, cheaper solution.

Actually, I don't think I'll buy either at this time. My Promedia

Ultras fill my office with sound nicely. Hopefully, Klipsch's upcoming

portable system can regain the title from Altec Lansing.

Klipsch did beat the Bose SoundDock though.

  3. I just left Best Buy. They have the igroove next to the im7.

I was able to compare side by side. As much as I hate to admit it, I felt the

im7 sounded better than the igroove. Wider, clearer, of course deeper, cheaper,

more functions. As much as I like Klipsch, Altec Lansing is right on with their

im7. I cant find a logical reason not to buy the im7 over the igroove.

  4. I currently have the ProMedia 2.0 Ultras (though they were RMA'd for

defective volume control). Do you believe the sound quality of the

Ultras is comparable to the igroove? I'm considering purchasing the

igroove. My workmate has the Bose Sounddock and I love to make him eat

it when I compare his $300 system to my $100 system.

  5. I really like the RB-25s. Now that I had some time to compare them, the sound is noticeably better with the RF-3s. Having said that, I'd had been disappointed if I bought them at full price. They are not that much better. I did my comparisons with the subwoofer on mind you. I think the RB-25s are the sweet spot for my listening habits. I have a downstairs neighbor whom I have to take into consideration. For the price though, Im extremely happy.

  6. Considering I live upstairs in an apartment, I better put them on large. I don't listen to it at high levels because I know the whole building would be mad at me. Usually I have the volume between -22 and -24dB.

  7. Here I sit waiting for the UPS man to deliver my RF-3's. Trying to decide if I want to use my RB-25s in a 7.1 config or place them in the bedroom for a multi-source. I got the 2.0 ultras in the bedroom right now.
