  1. Thanks Shouse and Frzninvt...! good ideas...
  2. I'm looking for some RS-25's to complete my HT but no one seems to have them. Does anyone know why...? Have they been discontinued? I found only one vendor on the internet that has them. What would you recommend as an alternative. I would like to keep it Klipsch all around.
  3. Sarge, I'm really enjoying mine. I was able to get a price match for AAFES from my local store so I didn't have to wait. If they really want your business they will do it. I think it's one of, if not the best bang for the buck out there. Happy shoping...
  4. KP, I'd say stick with your game plan, you seem to like the 5790 so get what you want, i think it's a good buy plus avoid "buyers regret" (should've, could've but didn't). I recently got an RVX2400 it's my 2nd Yamaha and I'm happy with it. Try it out with your speakers and see if you like what you hear, if so then you're good. If not then you can always save up and upgrade speakers later. The KSW12 is good, I got a 10" and it's adequate I wanted a better one but it would have cost me another $300. Good luck...!
  5. Internal connections had come apart. Remove driver and amp panel check for loose or disconected parts, also tape down cable so they don't rattle inside when pushed by air. Last but not least let Klipsch know that they should step up quality control. The sub now thumps...
  6. Rick and all others... I just spoke to the folks at Brandnamez and they talk me through a simple trouble shoot that has my sub working. 1st Klipsch quality control sucks. I removed the driver and found that the neg (black cable) was not connected also that an internal port section had come loose inside the box. After very cautiously making sure everything was properly connected my sub thumps... I also had to remove the rear panel to ensure the other end to the same cable was connected. Brandon from the store was very helpful, I take back what I previously posted on them. Granted that this was due to the box being thrown around during shipping. But when I opened up the sub I could see where somethings were neglected and some were done well. After all thousand of electronic products get shipped daily and if you assemble something well, they shouldn't come appart. My box had no external damage thease parts should not have come appart from shaking. My 2pennys...
  7. BigM, I just got a Yamaha RVX-2400 to push my K's and it's sounding real good, great features and performance for a good price. I considered the others mentioned here, I was divided between HK, Denon and Yamaha. I think you'll be happy with any of them.
  8. Everything seems conected correctly,I've checked it about ten times. I can run test tones on all speakers except the sub. Thanks for the advice I'll conect it to other devices to see if it works but I got a bad feeling. I'll never buy audio gear from brandnamez again. They only give you seven days to return something, this is not reasonable, I guess this is there way of leaving you stuck with something that's no good.
  9. Ricky I just got an RSW 10 from Brand Namez and I can't get it to work either.
  10. Well after a couple of weeks of anticipation I finaly setup my new sub today but after sevral hours of trouble shooting I can't get any sound out of it. Power light comes on, brand new monster cable, new receiver (Yam. RXv 2400) I'm running out of things to try. I sure wish I could get it to work... I'm open to any suggestions...Thanks
