  1. Thanks Daddy Dee! I really dont know about going into that whole digital world right at this minute, but it would work for the AV setup better than an older reveiver. I dont know, i will check it out and see what i find!

  2. The HK 130 is a 5.1 receiver, even thougth i dont use the center, surround channels on the receiver, but i bought it thinking i was going to move into the world of surround. The KG4's can handle 100 watts rms, can you over power the KG4's without having huge problems?

  3. Hello there, its been awhile since i have posted. I was thinking of an update for my current setup, which doesnt consist of much. I have had my HK 130 running my KG4's or awhile now in my dorm room, but i think it might be time to update receivers. I was wondering if there were any good recomendations out there for a new receiver for these old, but good speakers. I really dont want to go into tubes right now because im still at college and my setup is used for AV as well as listening to music. I listen to alot of everything, from rock, alternative, punk, classic rock, r&b, hip hop, country basically everything that a college student would listen to. Also there is the road block in my way, that being cost. I really dont want to spend alot, but at the same time i want something that would out perform my HK. Any ideas here would be greatly appreceated! Thanks!!!

  4. I have had my KG4's for about 4-5 months now. When I purchased them from the buyer I knew of this black spot on top of one speaker. It almost looks burnt into the wood. I oiled my speakers today and the burnt spot didnt really come out. How would I go about fixing this situation? Also one of the speaker stands was broke off. How would that be fixed? I have access to a wood shop this summer and I hope these problems can be fixed. Thanks for the help.

  5. Are the vintage Kenwood reveivers/integraded good quality of electronics? What model number would be a good one to get? Do they compare to the vintage HK or Marantz receivers? Has anyone had experience with these, if so please let me know I am currently looking to find an old receiver for my KG4 speakers. Thanks

  6. Has anyone had this brand of speaker before? They look pretty decent and the reviews on them seem pretty good, but they didnt list what equipment they were using before them. If anyone has opinions or reviews or comments on the SX-HTB or any other fluance products let me know. Thanks

  7. Yea thats if I can hear them knocking on the door, the door is usually vibrating really bad! :) The blinds on the windows tend to look like they are being blown by a hard wind from outside! I have almosted knocked bottles of vodka off my neighbors shelf.

  8. My dorm room is made of cement walls not the blocks. I did invest some small money for my stereo so it doesnt sound bad. I have a HK AVR 130 receiver and Klipsch KG4 speakers with 2 12" kicker XPL subs...It gets loud and sounds way better than anything in my dorm.

  9. So I keep hearing that the HK AVR-130 doesnt have an on screen menu. Then how in the sam hell do I set the thing up? Does this matter? How hard will it be? Mine should be intomorrow but then I have to leave for Thanksgiving break from college so I wont get to mess with it till sunday night. Thanks

  10. When I recieved my KG4's in the mail I was excited but when I opened up the box I found one of the speakers in not so *mint* condition. One of the speaker stands that are connected on the bottom of the speaker was broken off15.gif Has anyone tried to fix these before? How easy of a task it is? How would I go about fixing it?

  11. Has anyone used this brand of speakers? I thought about going with a whole HT set up from them before I got my KG4's. They look pretty awesome but how do they sound? Their specs look pretty decent but there are no Fluance dealers around me. If anyone has used these or has had friends who have used these let me know I still might buy some for my bedroom.
