I've had the 757 for about a year now and I am very happy with it...Although i have been thinking about going the Emotiva route pretty soon..
-
I position mine towards the wall..and use the walls to bounce the sound around. I find it gives more of an enveloping feel rather than trying to just aim them towards the sweet spot..

I like the original Ice Age.I think it's the first scene when the glacier is splitting..I also like Spiderman 2 when Doc Oc throws the car threw the coffee shop window..

Can't you make the decisions on the Yammie, THEN do the YPAO thing?
With the Yamaha if your set to small with YPAO is goes back to large..........but you can manually change settings...I believe LARGE is also the default setting........
The old"dirty"buckster is right large is the default. With my setup up ive played with em all and I find I like em all set to large.

I'm on here at least twice a day..Although my post count wouldn't reflect that..

Bud Lite,Bud Ice,Sam's,Wachusett Ale,IBC. For the most part I will drink anything, those are just the ones I prefer. I try not to stick with one brand for more than a month.

Very nice....

It's nice to see mfg's creating tvs with less crap around the screen.
I also agree..Less is more.

Just wanted to say Merry Christmas / Happy Holiday's to everyone. Hope you are all enjoying the time with your family...

when splitting the signal do you guy's set both subs at the same setting's?
-
My compromise right now is to have a balanced stereo image, though with a mono feed. I can't stand having a single subwoofer off to the side because it really makes things seem lopsided.
That's how I feel..Like there's alot less "push" I'll call it, on the side without the sub.
-
For folks using multiple, are you splitting your LFE channel signal into multiple paths or are you placing the sub in the amplified path before your speakers? Or, do you all have nice pre/pros with multiple bass outs []
That was my next question?
-
Just wondering if anyone on here is using 2 subs in there system? And if so why?

Are you above or below the water table in your area?

I had the same problem...They make this rubbery stuff that comes in roll's of 12" by like however many feet. And it's very thin so its unnoticable..You put it on wood, plastic, glass, anything and it doesn't move nor does whatever you place on top of it...alot of people line tool boxes with it or drawers...I bought it at walmart in the craft/home section..

I'm sure most on here would say another Forte, and I agree...
-
I also have a Grand Wega 720p slim model...I heard alot about viewing angles before I bought it but have yet to experience any of what I heard..The pic awesome...They come highley recommended from me...Although I did see a comercial for Circuit City selling a panasonic plasma for like 1200...

plenty of of small kg's on ebay to be had...

I went from very nice component cables to a cheap hdmi..I there was quite a difference in my eye's......

I am by far no expert...But Sony has sold more blu-ray players in the past 3-4 days than they did in the last 2 years...I know everyone who bought the ps3 didnt buy it for the blu-ray player...but they still got...And i would say 95% of those people will use it at one time or another...

I noticed my neighbor had a dish so i asked him about it he said he had dish network...loved it and the only time he lost signal was when snow was building up on it...So he called and complained and they set him up with a dish warmer...problem solved..
If I switch from cable to the dish I will gain alot more hd channels but I will lose the ability to view the on demand that my neighbors order..my tv pulls there signal in...kinda cool actually..
-
They do have a pretty good selection of hd content. Even at an entry level hd package there's more hd than a mid level comcast hd package...Sill trying to talk my significant other into it..I figured the food network in hd would do it...

I would hate to get it and have dropouts all the time...

I went through the same deal with running all the wires in wall, cause my setup is in the living room and I didn't want to see any wires.. It was alot of work and quite the pain in the arse but well worth it..
