  1. i did it for protection, i did all the work on these speakers.
  2. I purchased these from Colterphoto a while back and cleaned them up a bit. These have been sanded, and painted. They will show their "battlescars" upon close inspection as i didn't want to erase all their history. I believe they are 1976 issue, not matching serials. I have built new AA networks with solen caps, PE brand inductors and BEC 3636 transformers. They are wired and ready for tri-amp or bi-amp if you so choose. They have brand new woofers, and tweeters. The k55's are original and work great. $800 I do not want to ship. local pickup or i can possibly meet in or around central Indiana.
  3. I need to make some more space in the closet, I am letting go of my 3 heresy IIs. They used to be walnut and were painted black, i'd rate them about 7.5 out of 10. There is no serial number stickers on them but i know their vintage is around 85-86. also the bottoms did have 4 feet screwed into them, they have been removed but will be incuded if so desired. I am asking $450 for all 3. I am willing to seperate. please contact me via email as i don't check here often. jlgsxr @ localnet .com
  4. its about 20ms delay right around the supposed threshold where delay can be detected. i tested the heck out of the RT for a long time. i think its fantastic for movies, but i couldnt get it to jive easily in 2 channel. my denon was set to max distance before i was happy with it.
  5. keep in mind the RT's have more delay than subs without DSP. you'll have to account for that in your processor.
  6. part number 127120 that should work fine unless yours are made of TI
  7. i did an AB with RS-7 and HII, by far the RS-7 has better ambient surround effect. Also it created a smoother transition from front to back of the room. ive always used WDST speakers in the past. When i aquired a pair of heresys i used them 5ft. abover the floor and thought they worked great until i switched back to a wdst surround. when i switched back to the HII the surround field collapsed and placement of effect could be detected in each speaker. my setup is damn near text book placement, and i feel the wdst speakers are far superior for SIDE surrounds. i have no argument for back surrounds as i haven't compared in that location.
  8. direct radiators suck as side surrounds, but for back surrounds they are good.
  9. i painted mine black with acrylic enamel automotive paint. came out pretty dang good considering what they did look like.
  10. $100 k-79-k pair $100 cornwall II networks minus the transformers =http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/EditPost.aspx?PostID=800644&ReturnUrl=%2fforums%2fShowThread.aspx%3fPostID%3d800644%23800644
