  1. i have used bondo on plywood. it works great, easy to shape, dries fast, sands easily. a local cabinet maker to you may have some better ideas.
  2. michael, i can wait till next week. just give me a call whenever you get back. my number should be in an email i sent you last week.
  3. the 38 does have a bit of quirkiness to the software. i am pretty sure you can open, close and save to any user saved slot from the pc interface. take a peak in the manual
  4. michael, bill h passed. its up to you.
  5. not single, but not married either
  6. am waiting to hear back from bill h. then your next in line.
  7. TRIOID said: Therefore: To be safe -- Check with your amplifier manufacturer! This is great advice. Some amplifier manufacturers will specify if they can handle reactive or inductive types of loads, if you question your hook up method you should contact the amp manufacturer directly. Klipsch feels comfortable in offering the capability of bi-amping, that does not mean it can quantify every manufacturer out there.
  8. measure the voltage coming out of the amp. Vsqrd divided by R
  9. take out the driver and check the shield box/heat sink for the amplifier. it is less than an inch away from the back of the driver. it may be rattling on heavy bass notes. check all the screws holding it to the back panel. also see if maybe the back panel has wiggled loose.
  10. CABINETS ARE SOLD skip to page 3, other parts for sale
  11. i am using Fs i like them just fine, they are the same as previous k-77s just being made by a different source.
  12. its perfectly normal, mine have that too. i wouldn't worry about it unless the speakers make a funny whistling.
  13. for the most accurate results of what dr. who suggested, you will need each driver hooked up as well, as it will need a load.
  14. if your blowing woofers from too much power then the k-43 might be the solution for you.
  15. try to update your ipod firmware, then retest. also check in the ipod specific forums for igroove related questions.
  16. sounds like the woofers are running out of excursion(bottoming out), or the amplifier is distorting very badly, or both. what crossover point are you using?
  17. they are supposed to be mounted to the side of your seating area, not behind. behind you would be your 6 or 7.1 speakers which are called surround back speakers. if you can not mount to the sides then put them in the corners, angled down. to answer your question the recommended height for surrounds are 5-6ft. above floor.
