  1. fixed it with a small stirring straw. works perfect.
  2. I have a pair of RF5. I have spoken to Klipsch support. Today I have removed the 8" woofer from the right cabinet. The voice coils are touching themselves after use is there anything I can use to physically keep the wires (coils) from touching?? zip tie? spacer? Thanks!

  4. I'm no expert; but they sound wonderful to me. I don't think you can beat it for the price. Check them out for 30days. If you don't like them, you can take them back. Outlaw Audio will even pay the return shipping. Best Regards,
  5. I got them for about $575 for 2 of them. normal price $299 ea. but you get discounts for multiples. order at: http://www.outlawaudio.com or 866-OUTLAWS
  6. I posted a while back asking about Klipsch and Outlaw as a good combo. I can happily say yes. Much cleaner sound than the Yamaha HTR 5280 I was using. The day after I received my M200 mono blocks from Outlaw, my HTR 5280 preout (R ch.) decided to crap out on me... So, not being in the market for the Outlaw 950 and at least 3 more mono blocks, I went to BB and got me the Yamaha HTR 5790. Boy, that was a good move. Not only does the processing sound better, but it's a bit more clean than the 5280. So, to sum up.. I guess this is a little review... Outlaw Audio M200: awesome sound great value small package Yamaha 5790: P.E.Q. 110 wpc at 20hz.-20khz. / 140wpc at 1khz. .04 THD, smart remote, THX select Just wanted to share. If anyone has any questions/comments, please post or email me.
  7. My soundcard is fully capable of outputing true Dolby Digital sound. If anything, it exceeds the processing power of my Yamaha receiver. And that would be the weakest link in the chain. If SACD and DVDA were more popular, Russ. I would own one. But, the selection sucks worst than your attitude in public forums. Thanks for the replies.
  8. Russ, Go read. You don't know **** about mp3 or music encoding with a pc. It's really not your fault though.. you were born in a much more boring time... I am sorry for your loss. Just becuase you have a music degree.. Doesn't mean jack **** in my book. My brother has several music degrees and teaches out of his studio in Berkely. But, I don't think his ears are better than Joe Schmoe. I'm not looking for someone to validate purchasing the Outlaw gear. You are a very bitter person. I suppose you weren't held much as a baby. Perhaps your raging claims of being the smartest, most egotistical person here, is true. But, I'll just continue to call you "dick". It much easier to remember than Russ. You are upset because my "pc source" is playing the same bitrate and freq. as your high end gear that you spent hundreds on. It's sad. You are just too damn old to understand how modern things work. If you were as cool as you state in your system info, you would be much more open to modern technology. And maybe not be so damn bitter. lol.. you are totally the biggest tool I've talked to in quite some time. Keep on measuring your johnson in dark alleys, maybe someday you'll make a few friends with that attitude. Thanks for the replies guys! You cannot stop someone for hating a product because it's cheaper than what they bought. Russ, you suck. Perhaps in your insignificant little world, you really are the champ. No, nevermind. Goodbye.
  9. Thanks to everyone else for the replies. I'm hoping to hear something about the Outlaw amps. I'll keep looking around in the time being... someone has to be running them on a similar setup. How about any more replies about Outlaw mono blocks mixed with RF series? If someone has a recommendation (except Russ) on an entry level tube amp, I'd love to learn more. Best Regards!
  10. I never said I had vast experience. I was asking a question about Outlaw gear, not how big of a dick you are. Confusing? What have you contributed? nothing. What is up with the quotes around "good friend"? You are waaay wacked out. I'm not sure when I had to prove my self to you to post. You seem like a nice person. Really. My "good friend" has nothing to do with me and my pc system. If you knew more about what you can do with a pc. You would understand that you can damn near match a SACD 1:1 with basic software. And play it back, just as you.
  11. Ben, I would love to meet up sometime. I teach throughout the week. But usually have at least 1 week off a month. I'll email you offlist sometime. Thanks for your generous offer!
  12. Russ, I can hear the difference. I probably have much better hearing than you do at your age. I have seen plenty of "high end systems" using a PC as their source. You haven't a clue about this. The Bitrate that I am running is equivalent to a SACD or DVD. Just give this up.. I have heard SACD and DVD audio before.. and I am hearing the exact same ****. Do you know what comes off one of your SACD or DVD? You can replicate ANY bitrate or QUALITY that way. My good friend runs 'front of house' for a lot of different people, throughout the world. I have copies of his master recording that would make you crap your Depends®. They are off of a very nicely sized professional board. You can't get much more original than these. I have witnessed and heard more in my young life than you are giving me credit for. I don't just listen to rap with lots of bass. Again, thanks for the sound advice.. haha
  13. I AM in NW PA! I live 60 miles north of Pittsburgh.
  14. Russ, What is your advice on where I can research to choose the proper amp? I have no clue if I want a tube style amp.. I'm too young and stupid to have been around in the time that there was no SS. I came here looking for advice.. I APPRECIATE you telling me that the Outlaw is a piece of ****. I will take that into consideration with extreme weight. I value your opinion. You must atleast stand by what you believe/own. Thanks for the help, and if you are calling me a "fast newbie", need I state the obvious? You have already provided enough data for me to claim you have "no life". j/k ... don't get all pissy.. later.
  15. bclarke, I wish I had a nearby place that I could listen to amps. But I don't I'm not sure what I want.. I will probably demo the mblocks and see how they are. I'm just seeking a little better clarity. You are right, there is no perfect answer.. I'm just adding up everybodies 2 cents and try to make a descent decesion. Thanks!
  16. If you haven't caught on yet, my source is just fine. Jesus christ you are such a bitter old fart... I really don't care much about what you say anymore. You have provided nothing buy one liners all freakin night.. even after I appologize for you being a dick... I guess you are right.. Judging me by my personal profile on a internet message board. I'm no where as cool as you, so I don't list everything I own in there. Goodnight. Peace be with you.
  17. Russ, I'm not running RCA patchcables and listening to your avg. 128 mp3. It's a digital inferface between my PCs digital coax output and my receiver. Playing a bitrate that is equal to an super audio cd, etc..
  18. and why is that? All knowing ********.. what bitrate are my files? And I listen to more than mp3. I have plenty of files that I imported from cds through Apples Lossless Encoding system. So they are 1:1. No bit rate loss. So it's the same as a cd. Once Again, thanks for your reply. And I'm 26 now. Aren't you too old to be using the internet anyway?
  19. Just becuase I post a freaking question about an Outlaw amp, doesn't mean that I don't know **** about the speakers that I own. Or a simple efficiency spec. I find you to be extremely rude. Thanks for your replies, I've learn so much from you. Oh wait.. that's not what you are here for. Thanks for the replies.
  20. Thanks. I already know that. You needent worry about my wattage consumtion. For the sake of your argument, here's a short reply: Thanks Russ!! You are too kind! But.. i guess what I wrote first is easier to understand for "you". What is up with your attitude? are you always this much of a dick? And yes I am here to "learn". What are you here for?
  21. Thank you very much, Wes!!! Plenty of reading to do. Russ, I don't know what I want exactly. I want the best I can afford. Like everyone else. Please read on: I haven't heard a tube amp in years, let alone on a pair of Klipsch. I am in the market for something better than my Yamaha HTR-5280. I don't know why; as I can obtain nice listening levels now. I'm simply seeking "better". And I haven't the foggiest... So, being that I work; a lot. I came here to quickly post about the Outlaw m blocks, becuase I remember reading about them before here in this forum. So that is what really inspired my post. I searched first and after not coming up with much, I posted. Merely hoping to read something good or bad about them. I appreciate any reply, but yours I misunderstood as disproportionally negative. I'm sorry if my previous reply was a bit nasty; but I really didn't come here with ALL of the answers. That being said. I'm looking for an amp that is better than the Yamaha receiver I own now. Tube, Solid State, or Paper. Just in "need" of "better". Peace.
  22. Russ, I will decide what I want.. By researching. Why do you think I am here? How is it that I am conveying to you that I have no clue what is going on? Because I asked about a Tube amp? come on.. .give me a break. I'm asking about an entry level solid state amp. Used in conjunction with Reference series speakers. I also inquired where the price point of a tube amp starts. So what. I'm not sure how that shows anything other than I'm looking for info. I came seeking information. I didn't come stating that I know everything there is to know and for all of you to shake in my presence... And I can gaurantee I do use more power than 2 to 3 watts on average. I made this post as SIMPLE as possible, as I was looking for people running these outlaw 200's and RF series speakers. I did not list all of the who-ha in my everyday life. So far, I have no gotten a response. Thanks for your reply.. You have done more than what you intended on doing with your statements. Now will the friendly people that I know lurk here, please raise their hand....
  23. You agree that outlaw ISN'T the best bang for buck... okay... who are you agreeing with? So a crown XLS402.. i'll look into that. I don't mind spending whatever money.. I just don't want to buy the most expensive stuff out there. "Probably not sound as good".. I appreciate your advice.. but I'd love to hear from people who actually own outlaw gear. Not just speculating. There are about 4 major reviews on Outlaw gear, and they all praise it.... What is a good tube amp I can get into?
  24. hmm... okay... i've not read that yet... thanks! Quit being blunt if you have time, and tell me more about why you feel this way. What tubes do you recommend? I think for the $$ The Outlaw gear is hard to beat. Not wanting to spend more than $1000 on a 2ch. or x2 mono blocks right now. Thanks for your input, you are the best guy ever to sport a Giant S as an avatar. oh, and I would use it for HT also.. just music a little more
