I have 2 RP-5 tower speakers right side/ left side with built in subwoofer and a RC-3 Center Channel.

I listened to some RF7 III today compared to RF7 and 2 versions of RF7 II...1 stock and 1 with mod crossover...the III’s definitely are not harsh.
Could be your source, the recording or the Amp clipping.

that is longer than usual I presume I had my d2v upgraded to 3d and was back with me within 3.5 weeks. Quality wise I like anthem and their sound ad well as arc.
until you need it fixed took 2 months to get mine backGrab the mrx you won't look back. Anthems arc is incredible to say the least.
A lot of Audio reviews puts ARC at the top of room correction. They build some pretty salty Amps to boot. It would be nice to demo their 710 AVR against a few of the Asian built AVR's.
Anthem AVR's are Asian built...says made in China right not he back where as the amps and processors from Anthem says Made in Canada....hummm

I am with you. I still tweak a bit by ear after finalizing Audyssey.

I do the same thing...run Audyssey and then check distances with tape measure, adjust crossovers myself and tweak the eq just slightly. Now I've been told over on another forum on a Audyssey thread that is fine to do but now I am now using the high rez eq filters in Audyssey if I tweak with my processors built in per channel eq features. So....not sure what to do....I with back and forth between my manual settings and Audyssey.

I run a Integra (Onkyo) DHC 80.3 A/V Pre-Amp Processor with McIntosh amps for my Ref7 7.2 set up. I have zero issues with this processor but have read on various forums of Onkyo HDMI issue due to heat. I think it could be some have failed but is likely blown out of proportion.
The Integra sounds good. I had a McIntosh MX134 Pre-Pro but it didn't have the HDMI ports and lacked some recent sound processing co-decs so I sold it for the Integra.

Horribly BAD mix....all guitar, boomy bass and drums have no punch...very weird...could have been awesome....to bad this is a very big disapointment to me!

Here the deal:
I went from a mid line Yamaha Receiver to a Pioneer top of the line Elite Receiver and noticed a sound differance for the better.
I then went from the Pioneer Elite Receiver to a seperate MacIntosh pre-pro and MacIntosh amps and notice a huge differance...basically same amount of power but better sound.
My friend went from a Yamaha receiver to a Parasound amp and noticed a differance for the better. Again about the same amount of power too.
What we both noticed is the RF7's are very smooth and clear and detailed with the better amps (i.e. MacIntosh and Parasound Halo)

It's not about the direct of the flow of current with directional cables. It is about sheilding and if you look at a true directional rca terminated cable you will see one of the rac plus is sheilded.
This works and is not BS just a sheilded cable that's all.

Ok the bottom line is your room will have problems until you correct the dimensions of the room, however in a home living space this is usually not applicable or it is cost prohibitive.
Being a professional musician and working in the music industry Berhinger products are at the bottom of pro audio equipment but the Feedback Destroyer used for subs does work very well and the extra hiss it adds to your system will filter out with the crossover to the sub anyway. Graphic EQ's are not the way to go to try and help low frequency problems and you need a parametric style eq and the Berhinger FBD or any other multi channel parametric will do the job. I also recommend trying some bass traps and room acoustic treatments.
