  1. Just wondering if anyone owns or has owned anything from Space-Tech Labs out of Vacouver. http://www.space-tech-lab.com/Products.html
  2. Been researching new monoblocks for the last month...found this site to be a great source. I would be very interested in feedback on those companies worth noting...function before fashion of course! http://www.worldtubeaudio.com/directory/categories/kategorie_6.htm
  3. Took a listen to the AH! recently... no doubt in my mind that it's the best CD player I've every heard! Not a bad price point too! Hey, I wonder if I could Hot Rod my output second in my Samsung HD 931 with tubes! JK!
  4. In an attempt to keep my signal path as clean as possible I am running the CD analog out directly into my "integrated" tube power amp. I got to say it sounds great, but w/o question my CD player is the weakest link. I would like to keep this set up as "tube" sounding as possible and would maybe like to add a CD player with a tube output section. With this in mind, would it be safe to say going with a tube CD player will enhance that warm life like feel the tubes are producing...if so then it's worth it to save a few pennies and go all tube. Thanks to everyone for their time & knowledge
  5. No more than 400.00...but I'm not apposed to spending more if the sound is there. It's true that RF35's have a very analytical sound, similar to studio monitors and I want a CD player that will preserve that quality. I understand that most of this is subjective, but there must be some concrete criteria that define the class of a product. ...thanks for the link!
  6. I'm running a Panasonic DVD A320 right now, but I also own a Sony DVP-NS715P and a Samsung DVD-HD931...bought the Samsung for the 1080i output a few years ago. What makes one cd player better than another, other than the ability to read CD-R or CD-RW, MP3...etc?
  7. well...no more than 300 bucks a guess. But I'm willing to pay more if it really makes the a differance.
  8. Just wonderig if anyone has advice on a good cd player. I currently using my DVD player. I'm hoping it will inprove sound...just not sure how much.
  9. I recently purchased a pair of RF 35's that I have paired with a DARED vp-20 18 watt monoblock tube amp. I'm simply running a CD player directly into the integrated amp. I must admit I'm somewhat of a novice when it comes to all tube set ups and I was hoping I could get some much needed advice: A. Should I add a preamp, will it really improve sound quality? B. My bass seems a little thin, should I add some type of EQ, or will that just dirty the signal I have going now. I appreciate any advice anyone may have. Thanks.
