  1. I work in the IT industry and have seen this problem before. Typically, the problem you experienced is the result of the Canon software / drivers. Many manufactures push products (software) out the door before completing testing. The reason they do this is simple (SALES = PROFIT). You may find an updated driver / software on Canon's web site that will fix your issue.

However, if this doesn't fix the problem, I recommend un-installing the Canon software and using the built-in XP image transfer wizard. It is simple to use and works great with my Canon camera. This wizard will launch automatically when you connect a camera. But, you must make sure you don't have a vendor (Canon) software running which will disable this wizard.

  2. The new site is definitely an improvement in terms of; easy of use and functionality. It allows you to find a product quickly. It is my opinion that for a web site to be effective a user should at maximum need to click 3 links to find the information he/she is looking for. Anymore clicks then that you will find the typical user will give up their search.

  3. I am thinking of buying a pair of RF-7's, currently I own a pair of Forte II's (purchased in 94) and a pair of RF-35's. I know that there is a timber difference between the Reference series and the Heritage series. But, I would like to know what other members think.

I primarily listen to Rock and POP music (i.e. Pink Floyd, Radiohead, etc) and I would use my current amp (Acurus A250) to drive them. Thanks.

  4. I own a pair of Forte II's and I noticed that the speaker cable you use can also effect the sound of the speakers. When I connect my Forte's using UltraLink Ambience cables the mid-range sound can be overwhelming at times. However, when I use ordinary 12 gauge copper cable the speaker seems to have a better mix between the bass and mid-range.

  5. I have seen and read many articles on this issue and the majority agree that Coax is superior to Toslink for sound quality. Personally I have never tried a Toslink link cable, I only use Coax cables. I did notice a large improvement in sound quality when I switched from analog cables to a Coax cables in source connections for DVD and CD players.
