I had this problem on my left channel & was originally cursing Klipsch out. I found the Main Volume switch on the control module was causing this. I had to move the switch back and forth until I found a 'sweet spot' where everything worked fine. BTW, this problem effected my headphones too.
I screwed this up recently when I took the control module apart for cleaning and sprayed some contact cleaner into the switch. This caused my left channel to work at any volume setting, but now my right channel has white noise on it at all settings.
Thinking about getting a 5.1 at this point.
