  1. No limit within reason. I figured $400 to $500 should get me a nice receiver. I see quite a a few older HK 430,460i,330's on ebay, If an older receiver would work better with a tube amp and my cornwalls then I'll go older, If a new HK would be best then I'll buy new. Or if someone suggests something other than HK then I'll go that way. Im very open to opinions. John
  2. Ok, The vote is unanimous, I will start on the Audio side first. Based on Hurdy said I will order a Decware amp. Any suggestions on the receiver?? From some other posts I see that vintage HK works well. HK 330? I see one on ebay.

  4. Well, I get to start all over with my stereo equipment. When I got married 5 years ago the wifes stereo equipment was much better quality then mine so I sold my stuff. fast forward 5 years, Wife has moved out, Divorce will be final by months end! So guess what! Im audio-less! I knew I wanted my main speakers to be Cornwall's, I got those off ebay from someone fairly local. Im also looking at a pair of Heresy's. Now I need help with the receiver, amp, CC speaker. A couple years ago I had been looking into the Decware tube amp, but havent read up on it lately. I am looking for a nice receiver for both AV and Stereo. Of the searches it seems Denon and Harman/Kardon are popular. Any suggestions

  6. Thanks, there does look like some small paint splatter on the tops of the cabinets, I figured I would do a light sanding the use a clear stain to finish them.
  7. I just picked up a pair of Cornwall Speakers from Ebay. The cabinets are in pretty good condition but might could use a little cleaning up. Here is the ebay link, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3060121750&category=14993&rd=1, Im not to sure of the type of wood the cabinet is made of. Any advice would be appreciated.
