  3. Hello, Just bought a set of reference rs-10's ,would like to mount them on some quintet swivel mounts, I 'd like to know if the threads could possibly be the same for both speakers! purpose? To save a buck so I don't have to buy anymore mounts, I haven't recieved the rs-10's yet so I don't know if they're compatible! digthis
  4. Hello, I have a denon 2105 av reciever at 90 watts per channel x 8 with klipsch rf -15's for the fronts a rc-10 for center, a 10'' 100 watt klipsch quintet subwoofer and 2 50 watt cont. quintet satellites for surround speakers, I think I had the surrounds on large which blew a fuse in my reciever turned it back to small when I got the reciever fixed, my question is I love to listen to music in 5,6,7 channel mode, actually it's more like 6 channel , I'd like to either upgrade to the 100 watt klipsch dispersion surrounds in the reference that sonically matched my system, does any body have the above mentioned set-up with the reference and quintets{ this system is alright in surround mode} and or does anybody have any advice on switching to rear tower speakers or another brand satellite{which I would rather hang on the wall! All thoughts welcome! tia digthis
  5. Hey, Just had time to settle down and listen to my new additions to my ht, I purchased the denon 2105 receiver and 1705 dvd player and two klipsch rf-15's with rc-10 center channel added to klipsch 8'sub and and one set of quintets for the rears, I'm happy to say the least! the rf's really did blow me away, when I was listening to Eric Claptons DVD Crossroads at the cotton bowl in Texas in dts format, I play a little bit of guitar and record music so I am a little trained at listening to music. digthis
  6. Hey, Can anyone say DUST COVERS! digthis
  7. Hey. This is my story! When I built my house I prewired it for speakers,,,shoulda, hada, dona this and that, didn't use pvc pipe in the walls {dumb arse!}any way I had the system set-up for adjacent walls in case I ever moved furniture around, WELL!!! when I did get around to moving furniture the wires on the side I would have used for the front speakers don't work {checked physically} and used a dmm which said the speakers were basically OK!!! via bailing wire with gator clip ends hooked to each side of same speaker wire {looped} This indicated that the speaker wires worked! Don't know if bailing wire would work! but that's the longest wire I had at the time! bottom line physically the speaker wires don't work! for some unforeseen reason{nails, kinks,} whatever nough said,,,,,,, So anyway another event took place after I bought another receiver the speakers on that side{ surround at the time} quit working,,, could of had something to do with being under powered, receiver Sony 1011, 30 watts on surround side pushing klipsch quintets 50 watts contintueous, the 2 quintets are out of warranty,,,,,so the question is WWHEWWW! Do I buy klipsch bookshelf speakers with stands or maybe floorstanders since I don't have no wires in the wall to use now [ don't know if I can pull old wires through since I softly big stapled wires in center of 2x4's to keep them from getting hit by nails and such!} back to pvc Pipe{dumb arse}anyway since I have the rest of the quintet set-up 2 surrrounds and 10' sub with center channel and a denon 2105 receiver I'd like to keep it close to sonically matching the quintet set-up, TIA digthis
  8. Hey, I hooked up my 2105 and used two old cerwin vega at8's cause two of my quintets quit working so I sent them to klipsch to be repaired,,,the cv's sounded good but I pushed to far and one blew,, I actually think being in the closet for a long period of time and age caused the one to blow,,,oh well,,,live and learn,,, If they can't fix the quintet's might go with some floorstanders like the rf-10's or synergy f3's I here the fr's are real bright versus the f3's are forgiving,,, I can't wait to really test the 2105 out,,,got a 1710 denon dvd player to go with it,,, so far it sounds good on what I've heard! digthis
  9. Sosa, Read your 2105 manual to make sure you have everything connected right, You're surround speakers may only work sometimes depending on the mode their in,like dolby digital,,dts etc,,, if you have 5 channel on they'll work all the time. digthis
  10. Sosa, Hello, I just purchased a 2105 too, awesome! Make sure all your connections are right,,, are you real familiar with home theater? digthis
