  1. I'm making a trip down to Atlanta tomorrow to listen to the Ultra2 system in different shops. I've listened to them in Nashville but it was a fairly small room. For you folks that have purchased these, what is a good price? And anybody in Atlanta here? Any good places to go? thanks, Duane
  2. Which speaker lines are still made here in the U.S.? (Klipsch that is)
  3. Or has anybody tried making some?
  4. cool, let us know what you think.
  5. The Heritage are huge but if you have the room...... And yes, the Wharfedales have been a great speaker for the price but I've got it bad for either the Ultra2's or the RF-7's.
  6. I bet I came in right after you... he said he just finished demoing them. What did you think of them? I really enjoyed the RF-7s also.
  7. "just about every klipsch center channel speaker will give you much better clarity and dynamic impact compared to your current wharfdale speaker..." Thats's true..My system is really crap compared to the Klipsch speakers. I bought all the speakers except for the subs on UBid when you could get a great deal on stuff. But compared to the other centers that I've heard(Rc5, Rc7 etc) it was more dynamic.
  8. I've been reading about these speakers for the last 3 months. I've seen the pictures on the net but never in person. Yesterday I found a shop that had them set up. So off I go... 3 hours later I arrive at Audiomasters near Nashville. Let me say this first... I've been in alot of different audio/video stores...some have a super Elitest attitude and won't give you the time of day and some just don't care if they sell you anything or not. The owner here is the nicest gentleman I've met. Now on to the speakers. At first glance I was a little disappointed. They are just larger than bookshelf speakers. I thought they would be huge. Build quality is very good. They weren't hollow or flimsy, Super tight. He put in Master and Commander, dimmed the lights and WOW!!!!!!!! I heard every creak, every wave smacking the ship, every little nuance with such clarity. The center is what I really love. I'm always straining to hear dialogue alot with my speakers but this center is dynamic! I can't believe the sound from these speakers that are this small. So don't be like me and let the size fool ya, they are really awesome. I have no doubt now that my Pioneer Elite 49tx can run these. He had a Denon 3805 and it played them fine at near or at reference level.
  9. They look great... Can you tell a difference now that you have them? What does the difference sound like? thanks, Duane
  10. Btw, are you able to get the Ultra2 lineup including the subwoofers too? That sounds like a wicked awesome deal to me. ---------------- Thanks for your thoughts. Yes.. the system includes the 2 subs and amp. The Ref7 would be the 2 RF7's, RC7, and 4 RS7's. The one big problem I have here in East Tn is that nobody around has any Ultra2's on display... There's a Tweeter store in Chattanooga but they've stopped selling Klipsch. Duane
  11. Ok thanks.... I am currently running 7.1. My room is 26x19. So far my 49tx hasen't clipped. (knock on wood)
  12. thanks... so far its been 95% movies 5% music.
  13. Hello all, I currently have a Pioneer Elite 49tx. I am wondering if it will have enough power to run the Ultra2's. Anybody have a Pioneer running these? On another point has anybody personally compared the Ultra2 to the Ref7? I can get the Ultra2 system for about $2000 more...are they worth it? thanks Duane
