  1. Wow i have both these amps and the behringer wins over the marantz IMHO ......in tone way way more head room paired up with a good pre amp they rock best bang for the buck. I got the 2500 to just run a sub at first and then tried on my klf 30"s and has been running them ever since.I can"t even hear the fans from 10 feet away they are very musical.Just make sure they get the right singnal from you pre amp...They do sub duty excellent.Ihave compaired them A.B tested them to side by side to other pro amps for the money of these behringer 2500 amps you can"t go wrong. Its all in the singnal the pre amp gives them.

  2. Denons rec, make excellent pre amps mated with right amp..I have the 3803 use it as a pre pro with a Behringer ep 2500 with klf 30's and love it.Thats right Behringer can't beat them for the money.Plays the 30's full range pretty dam good I know it's not a qsc but for 350.00 you can't go wrong.Plenty of head room with excellent highs......without fatigue ........They should bring back the Legends excellent speakers???????

  3. I use subs in my two-channel system and am unable to delay the subs like you can with an AVR.

    I found this------>http://www.pssl.com/Behringer-DSP110-Shark-Feedback-Reducer.

Does anyone do this.......or does anyone know if there is some type of gig made exclusively for subwoofer delay without all the additional features like the Shark or an AVR?

    Thanks,

    Scott.

When I run my denon in 2 channel I feel delaying the sub puts the the bass more out in the room. I see what you asking I to was wondering if there was such a tool to use for older 2 channel receviers
  4. While for movies my speakers sound great, I think I find them a little too bright and harsh for music. Not sure though. I think I might go KEF next time around for speakers. Surprise

What go's in comes out... good speakers won't lie to you I would try changing your source thats feeding your Rf' 7s before replacing them. I thought the same way about my Klipsch speakers to for awhile till I got the right gear feed them .
  5. KLF-30's

These can be killer speakers with some slight mods. Mids will be much healthier also. You just need to make sure you have an amp that can control those two 12" woofers. Most people forget about that part of it. They can sound flabby if you don't have good amplification.

not only do you have to control the lows but controling the highs is just important on the KLF 30's they Rock....................
  6. I've aways wondered about the signals canceling out even when using two subs more or less more. If at some point I'm losing more than I'm gaining.

"Save your money on multiple subs and buy one good one." What are some suggestions for a good sub. I realize the Sub 10 & 12 are cheap subs in the big picture but how much better can bass really get? What separates the good subs from the great ones?

    Carbon Summit,

First; I n regaurds to your 12 being louder then the pair of 10s. Try switching one of the 10 sub only at it's 0-180 phase switch while the othe 10 is off. Try several times in both positions. If the subs diaphram is pushing out while your speakers is sucking in, it will not play as loud, and that may be your problem. After you get the one 10 sub in phase with your speakers, try to match the second sub to the first after you have figgured the first one out, again by only switching the pase switch back and forth on your second sub. This is what the phase switch is for, and could explain why you are getting less from the two 10s then one 12.

How much better can Bass really get???? Do you hear things with your subs on in movie explosions etc. that you cannot hear with your subs turned off?? You are missing alot of the frequency spectrum that is in the recording without the sub aren't you?? Those Subs have no real low frequency extension into the lower audible frequencies. By my own definition, a sub woofer should be able to play SUB-SONIC!!! Most people can hear down to 20 Hz and I gaurantee you those 10s aren't putting out any appreciable sound that low, let alone sub sonic. You are missing at least half of the material in a good movie explosion that can be heard as well as felt, let alone the first time you get to hear your windows rattle and feel your chest get beat on and the couch vibrate like hell when the tone comming out of the sub cannot be audibly heard. YES!! I have a pair of Velodyne HGS 18IIs and you can get competition DVDs with sub sonic sweeps that you cannot hear that will knock pictures off of the wall and knick knacks off of the shelf.

Your picture looked like Forte's IIs, I really didn't study it. Those are still good quallity Klipsch speakers. I haven't really heard a Klipsch Sub that I felt deserved a Klipsch badge!! You have to realize that when I started listening there only was the Heritage line, and my first Klipsch owned was Quartets from the "NEW" line-up! They didn't have synergy or Reference, let alone friggin Quintets. The RSW-15 is the closest thing to a sub that I personally have heard from Klipsch, and it isn't half the sub that an Epic conquest is at $1800 brand new. Save your money and buy a true sub-woofer before spending it on an amp, you will get more increase in sound quallity for your dollar!!

  7. Well that cab will certainly go loud (yikes). Cerwin Vega stuff always goes loud...

Btw, are you just sitting back and chilling to loud music, or you doing parties or something? And is space a major constraint?

This will be for both in and outside partys and just kickin back and yes sometime space is a concern. What can I say Iam a bass head but I like good sounding loud and tight controled bass and not loud boomy if that makes any sense lol ...............
