  1. I recall a guy here (Klipsch forum) who complained the same problem, he changed his CD-Player and made all the difference and he became a 100% satisfied RF-7 user.
  2. Welcome to the Klipsch forum KlipsDude. The RF-7 are a great speaker, have them too. I was worried about RF-7 vs. KLF-30 trying to decide when I first got mine. I picked the RF-7. I made a friend who has the KLF-30. I'm happy I went with the RF-7 when I compare them. I get bashed in other forums but that is mostly all Klipsch speakers for people who are ignorant about them, or used wrong equipment. Just put bashers on ignor. Be happy with the RF-7's and anyone who disagrees with it, ignor. That's what I do. Some folks react to new users kind of hostle if they don't like how you write and forget to say it in kinder words. They need to remember all Klipsch speakers are good. Just try and write polite, even if they put you down for the RF-7 or it just causes hostle people, I got this in another forum just for having a Klipsch speaker! Enjoy your new RF-7 speakers and enjoy learning and getting help here. I hope people will remember to be kind, they were helpful to me when I was trying to decide on the RF-7 or KLF-30. Now I read every thing I see on the RF-7. Good Luck and a warm welcome, I read regular here but still a newbie too, I don't post but thought I would welcome you in a better nicer way.
  3. Thanks all for setting me on how RF-7 are. I now know you are all right with what said. I went to the used hi fi store down town and he had Rotel 1080. I tried to get him to let me trade in my Yamaha and Cerwin Vega D-9 but he said he only deals in higher end stuff, made me kinda feel like my Yamaha wasn't good! He said I do better selling in the newspaper. He had two Rotel's a smaller one, forgots the model#?? and the Rotel 1080, went with 1080 since he say RF-7 needs lots of good amplifier to be best in all levels and would not get deep bass if I didn't. He said he gets in RF-7 once ever so often, said loves them. said he sales very fast that most all Klipsch sell quick for him. He only deals in used goods. He said I made right choice for RF-7 that he likes most for Klipsch for music and HT and he pick the same if were him. Ok, I set it up, runned it for hours like he said to break-in starting yesterday. They are AWESOME!!!!! Huge incredible big sound coming out, i listens to the cone and tweeter and thes tweeter and cones both have female and male voices comin out so I do get some mid range coming out of horns?? sure sounds like it. First started speakers sound kind of slightly harsh like he say but I notice today running all day and night they have much much more smooth, also notice not much bass yesterday. Today I got slam and punch more than Cerwin Vega D-9 but very tight tight very nice bass. Not boomy loose kind like my D-9's are. Awesome to hear it does get the deep awesome bass too. Have to get use to better sound bass buts i like the tigher bass! Tried Yamaha just to see if I made right with Rotel and it lost detail, wide sound, change to bright like steely sound. The smooth warm gone. Guys, you are so RIGHT about amp with RF-7. Rotel give huge improvement with detail, wider sound, smooth sound, and give RF-7 huge huge power for huge huge sound. I think I made right choice. Mid-range is big huge sound. Was worry wort but not now, great smooth mid-range, comes out horn too. Metal instruments sound awesome real, like real, maybe it's the metal in cones and horn to sound true life like? Give huge big live sound very awesome and I feel how can it get any better than this? Can it? I don'ts see how! I feel very satisfied. The Rotel is worth it over my Yamaha and RF-7 is worth it over my Cerwin Vega D-9. I'm very happy with the new music level I'm at now. Thank you - Thank you every ones! All were right here. I'm ok now and not worry any more and happy have them setup now.
  4. Well, I'm more confused about KLF-30 and RF-7. I hope I made right choice but some other folks on the internet told me the RF-7 isn't good as KLF-30 that Klipsch cheap out and took mid-range horn off and then rise the price. Now I thought RF-7 horn was for mid & tweeter? But I found out the bass cones for mid. Why would Klipsch take off mid-range horn? I don't understand why it would be done??? Doesn't make sense. Heck, now it looks like I could have f***ed up! I've been wanting Klipsch horn for long time, I like it big live sound and loud in my face and so wanted that stuff but now it's only horn for tweeter. Heck, i'm so pissed with myself!
  5. I went to another place that carried Klipsch RF-7 and they would only go low as $1850.00 pair. The salesman told me that KLF-30 is old model not made any more and RF-7 is superior in sound to it. I told him can get the RF-7's for $850.00 and he said it was way below their cost, so quickly headed back Warehouse Liquidators to save the $1000.00, but still not sure which to get, when I got back more people there and all going the RF-7's. They only had one left and I almost lost out, didn't get to get first pick so got a box that had a dent hole in it but I looked in noticed it didn't get speaker, enough space to miss it so I got it. Only had two pairs of KLF-30. Decided go with RF-7 because people wanted that model most so thought better get it, plus talked to one guy that getting pair RF-7 too and he said has a KLF-30 and RF-7 at home, but want second pair RF-7. We talked more at his truck and he promised would love the RF-7 to not worry. He said RF-7 is more detail in the low and high because it's horn and cones are metal and the KLF-30 is polymer plastics. Said the RF-7 is smoother sound. He said he was going to sell his KLF-30 now since he got 2nd RF-7 So guess will have to take his word. He sounds like he knows his stuff. He also told me will have to get rid of my Yamaha stereo is will not work for the RF-7 be too bright to listen said need to get a Rotel RB or Parasound Halo and will be perfect, so wrote it down. Now I have to buy new stereo to run the speakers. I have Cerwin Vega D-9 speakers are very nice sounding and he said these Klipsch RF-7 will be nice upgrade from it and will hear a difference. Don't know why still have KLF-30, I know that they said it came from son and father owned store, the downtown store closed and sat 2 years and the second store in the subs area stayed open til now, so they have inventory from both stores they bought out. borrow my friends truck and picked the RF-7's up I noticed KLF-30's were gone. They sold them too. I hate worrying about this if I picked the right one or not. The speakers are heavy, I have in garage now til I can get help to move it in the house but got to get a new stereo for it before I can use the speakers. Oh well, i wanted to uprade it any way now i have to.
  6. Hi, there is a local dealer who went out of business and another place bought all their inventory for closeout and I have the chance to buy the Klipsch RF-7 or KLF-30 brand new, either model is only $850.00 for the pair. There is no way to demo them for me to decide which to go with, can anyone tell me which one is best to go with for 2-channel music. Which is better on detail and being musical. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me, thanks!!! Amp.
