  1. ---------------- This Thread was about a $200 cartridge purchase was it not? ---------------- Exactly Craig.......Thanks for your advice on a cartridge....!! BTW: 3dzapper// ---------------- There is a V15xMR on audiogon for $200: http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?anlgcart&1121096167 ---------------- Thanks for the heads up!! I did purchase this one!! I was waiting to get the Eico back from Bill so I could take pics of all 3 at once. I'll be glad to post them in the next few days. I am new here Craig. I just purchased some Heresy's, and am starting to build a very moddest Tube system, and get back into vinyl again. I don't think I will be percieved as much of threat around here.. Thanks for the Warm & Fuzzy reception... Thanks to the rest of you for all of your emails
  2. ---------------- Bill, I'm going to give you a hint your not going to get very far around here if you don't join in and partake in the subjects at hand. If you just post to promote yourself people are going to get turned off fast. I for one already have been turned off to your posting style here and elsewhere it looks like your just around to make a buck. I mean posting what you do with every post is pretty redicules. Don't you read other peoples posts? Craig ---------------- Craig, I started this thread, Not Bill! I am also new to this Forum, and think it is one of the coolest around. Great, unselfish, and honest members who seem to really want to help and share their experience and opinions. I found Bill on this site just weeks ago, and knew right away that he was the kind of person I would like to do "biz" with. There are not many quality tube guys like you and Bill around that not only know what they are doing, but also are HONEST, and have an incredible passion for all of this. I am glad that Bill introduced himself and his skill-sets here. He is a great addition to this Forum. Members here seem intelligent Craig, not sure if they need you monitor what someone else is posting, and I'm sure they know your motivation is not to "protect" them. Bill was responding to a thread started by me, and has 15 posts on this forum to date. People in this thread were asking questions about Bill. He responded,....Why do you have a problem....? I started this tread because I was really stoked about how great my DynaKits turned out, Sorry to Bill for setting him up to be Flamed!! Keep plugg'n Bill!!! Your the real deal!! For the record, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bill...Very knowledgeable, Very HONEST, and FAIR. A pleasure to do business with. I doubt he will respond to Craig with the same attitude he was dealt...... Peace............
  3. Hey! This guy is the "Real-Deal"!! I have been really enjoying the Pas2 & ST-70 Bill refurbed for me. I just recieved the Eico HF-81 tonight!! Can't wait to install it in the Cab and give it a Whirl! Bill is HONEST...and a true ARTIST!! I would recommend him to anyone AAA+++ THanKS Bill!!!!!!!, ....You make Garage Sales Fun!! Peace,
  4. Thanks.. Grado gold is a MM or MC? Will it work in the Phono stage of the PAS2?
  5. Bill is in SUNNY FLORIDA>>>>>> Great Guy, Gave me Nightly Updates, Even sent both my units back to me before my Personal Check cleared!! Really Fair Pricing // Takes his time to get it right.. He also just finished an EICO HF-81 for me, it was in really bad shape!!! I should have it back next week...... One of the GOOD-GUYZ...!!
  6. Hey Rick! Thanks for the link! Yeah I will gladly take some pics..
  7. hEY! Just got my 2 Dynakits (ST-70 & PAS2) back from Bill Bittle//Archangele's Vacuum Tube Audio// http://home.alltel.net/wbittle1/ What an AWESOME job he did refurbishing these 2 old beauties!! They truly sound & Look magnificent. I highly recommend his services..! Honest, Old School Quality Service..... I am now looking for a Nice Phono Cartridge to Compliment this system, somewhere in the $200 range. I have a Sony PS-x700 Biotracer TT The Shure V15VXMR was my first choice, but it is getting very hard to find, and I was outbid on the last 2 from Ebay... Any other recommendations? THANKS!!
  8. That is beyond Pristine............ Wow......................
  9. (DIY) Tripled CAT5 Network Cable // Braided Covered in a techflex cable cover, Shrink fit ends. (2) 18' Cables for about $25 and 2 hours of elbow grease............ Sound, Look, fabulous...
  10. So....you recommend.........?
  11. Thanks very much for the reply! Did you ever have the Sony XL-33 that came stock on this table? I've heard it's an awesome cart... Do you like this TT? So far I'm pretty happy with it. All of the commercial places I 've inquired to help me find a replacement for the original cart have emailed me back several times telling me to hold onto this TT. That it was one of the finest Sony ever produced..... Thanks for the 'nod on the Shure V15VxMr...I'll start to look at em 2 night Peace..
  12. OK.... Looks like FedEx will pay a portion of my claim if I want to hang on to the turntable and try to repair the damage... I was really psyched to try the Sony MC cart but looks like I'll need to replace it.( there was a replacement Sony XL-55 on Ebay that just sold for $408!!) I need some suggestions on a new Cartridge for this TT. I'm limiting myself to $150-200 in the new or slightly used market... I have been playing it with a Stanton 505 which really sucks.....Very harsh not accurate and tons of nasty "S" sylabance problems....but it was all I had to test the Sony with. I could really use some direction here........ Thanks!!!!!!!
  13. hear ya Bob......... I've had my HK 630 hooked up for a week. I was just testing it out and have been so happy with it i haven't had that heart to stop listening and clean it yet! Enjoy, I'll never let this one go!
  14. HeY!! Ive owned my 85' Heresy's for about a week now. I'm running them thru an HK 630 and really digg'n them....I am also waiting for a Dynakit PAS2 and ST-70 combo that I have sent to Bill Bittle for an Extreme Makeover...I am also getting back into vinyl. Whats lacking for me now is the Low-End. I'd really like to get a pair of Cornwalls...but in the meantime, I'm thinking about adding a Sub. Any recommends for my 2 channel system? Tanks....
  15. heY! The plan is to bring it back pretty much to stock but using higher end parts ie. Auricaps etc...I really trust his judgement. I hope he sees this thread and can expand on his thoughts... Was your ST-70 working at spec prior to making the MOD? Many think the original guys got it right...I'm too much of a novice, so I'll begin with a refurbished to original ST-70 and go from there.. I think I have an HF-81 coming my way soon(might need some work), so I'll have the opportunity in a month or so to give them both an in depth listen.....I have been listening to a SS Harmon Kardon 630 and I have to say I'm really enjoying it!! I'm sure I'll totally enjoy going tube!!
