  1. Once your on the scholarship you are no longer dirt poor.

Now the student loan one, I will buy that.

Both were on tennis scholarships. Don't know if that was full ride back then but they were certainly poor compared to their status today.[:P]
Hey i'm a true hog fan (and SEC); but after seeing TCU's campus and what they have built with Patterson; I respect them & wish them well in the Big East.
  2. Probably close to half the team was seniors, and unlike many schools, most of them will graduate.

My best friend is a TCU alum.

He's a very successful attorney. His best tcu college buddy is an Aspen real estate developer. Both were dirt poor in college.

  3. Since Cornscala's are DIY projects, there is bound to be a wide variation. There are various versions out there. Here is a quick history:

Basically, some people think La Scala's lack bass, and Cornwall's may leave some people wanting better performance in the midrange. Hence, essentially trying to take the hi and mid from the la scala, and coupling with the bass of the cornwall, all (typically) done in a cornwall cabinet, or a homemade cabinet. There are various crossovers and horns and drivers that have been put out there for use.

If you can afford to buy both sets, and think they both sound good, I would do it. That would be the basis for a very nice 5.1 set up, and perhaps a hernia as you move speakers around your room.

I agree & own both. Cornscalas smoke Cornwalls if built properly. Mine are, (built by BEC). I moved my cw's to rear duty for theater. That said, I would rather have Lascalas, over both, with my sub. Actually, I want lascalas with the 402 horn on top. Sounds wonderful, huh dtel?
  4. I'm no lawyer but unfortunately my closest friends are; if you are contemplating a lawsuit, I suspect you have a responsibility to re-lease the property. As opposed to letting the remaining 9 months run out then suing for the aggregate sum...course I could be wrong.

In any event, sounds like you did all you could.
