  1. You'd probably be hard pressed to find one now but I bought a Pioneer 1014 from BB for $280 including tax about a month ago. So far I am extremely happy with it.
  2. Well just wanted to post an update. Had a talk with the guy I bought them from and he was very sorry. He went by the UPS Store where he had shipped them from and worked on getting everything straightened out. He told me UPS was gonna come by tomorrow pick up the speakers to inspect them and if deemed necessary, issue the refund. He even called me to make sure I understood everything that was going on and to see if there was anything else he could do. Very nice guy, didn't sound a day older than me and I'm 21. And I digress. In the mean time I had managed to salvage one of the speakers. Basically I took the good tweeter from the broken horn and used it to replace the broken tweeter on the good horn. POW! Good as new and I must say it sounds amazing. Anyway, I told him I was just gonna bite the bullet: keep the speakers and just buy a new tweeter out of pocket. He then gave me the phone # to the UPS store so I could see if I could at least get the money to cover the tweeter. Called the store and the manager was very apologetic. He issued the refund immediately. So now everything is worked out. All I have to do is wait for the new tweeter assembly to come in. Long story short: Seller is a nice guy. Everything is worked out. Love the 1 RF, can't wait till I have two. 3. I talked with the seller and he said they were insured and also that it was UPS that did the packing. He said they were perfect when he dropped them off to be wrapped and shipped and from the pictures of them I've seen I'd have to agree. He's going by the UPS place tomorrow to see what we need to do. I fired off an e-mail to parts@klipsch.com around 2:30pm EST but I've yet to hear back from them. I'll give'm a ring tomorrow.
  4. Got two RF-3s and an RC-3 from ebay for $580. Yeah, yeah no warranty, I know. Make fun of me after you finish reading. Anyway they just arrived and I must say the packing job was excellent(I wish I had had a camera to take pictures of it) and the speakers look to be in perfect condition except for two things. The tweeter on one RF snapped completely off the rear of its horn during shipment. The tweeter on the other RF is smashed in. I figure that was done before shipping. Now I paid to have them insured but I dunno if the guy remembered. I just sent him an e-mail so I should hear back from him later today. Worst case scenario how much $$$ am I looking at to replace both tweeter/horn assemblies?
  5. Well I'm done with that guy. All ebay did was warn him, so whatever. In other news, I am hopefully going to be the proud own of some wonderful reference speaks with in a week. I just won an auction for a pair of RF-3s and an RC-3. Hopefully this one won't fall through. *Knocks on wood* Cheers, Brian
  6. I had no intention of winning the auction anyway.
  7. Yeah, if I win them for $15 I'll walk my a$$ up there and get them.
  8. Says TN local pick-up only. Wish I lived there. I'm in georgia but I have no way to go get them if I won them. btw- I'm the current high bidder at $10.50 but my max bid is only $15. Just wanted to test how high the other guy was. Good luck. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61378&item=5779115448&rd=1
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61378&item=5778990376&rd=1 Thought somebody might be looking for a center channel. Looks a little beat up in places though.
  10. Excellent condition RF-3IIs, $500.

  12. I've contacted Ebay and the seller and yes I know nothing will come of it. If only I had paid for it lastnight.
  13. Well it just took a turn for the worst. I was in the process of paying for it when I recieved this e-mail: "Dear brian, I was informed that there was an error in this listing and that we have to actually re-list this item for our clients. Unfortunately, there was a lack of communication and it was not supposed to be set up as a Buy It Now auction. We will have to at this time cancel this order, however, it will be re-listed within the next few days. I do sincerely apologize about this mix up and hope that you will understand. Thank you." Now is it just me or this just seem wrong? I don't how it's supposed to work but I thought if you won an auction a seller was supposed to sell you said item. Thats like setting a no-reserve auction and then renigging on it because it didn't sell for the price you wanted. What should I do, try and fight it or forget it? Any help would be great. If I am totally off-base please let me know.
  14. I got them off ebay and the add said that they had a 2yr BB coverage plan on them. I didn't really pay attention to it since I don't think it's transferable.
  15. Nobody has been killed yet although my life is probably on the line. I used my mother's CC and she doesn't know it yet. I think I'll be ok though I'd feel better if I hadn't dropped $460 on an Outlaw LFM-1 3 days ago. As long as I get to hear them before I die I'll be happy.
