  1. Excellent deal! Are they in good shape?

Can any of you guys or gals recommend a low power amp in that range? ---------------- Try an early verson of the Dynaco Stereo 35! They sound fantastic on Heresy's! You still need a preamp or a volume control of some kind. I would suggest a class A solid state pre-amp like a Threshold or if you have the bucks Pass Labs...they really let you hear just what the tubes are doing! I was using a Threshold Fet10e and a slightly modified Dynaco St.35 for years with great results! I have a neat little setup in my 2nd room a Creek remote volume control with a Decware 84se and a pair of Klipsch Rebel 7s. Sounds great on the Blues!

Original Dolby for theaters only required 7Khz from the surround speakers. ---------------- 14k isn't so bad really...not too many "dog whistles" in music! They sound great using my VTL Tiny Triodes! Compairing them to unmodified 3 way Heresys they actually sound better (the 2way that is), as the problem with the 3ways is integration between the woofer and the tweeter...meaning that the tweeter is more efficient than the woofer. I still would like it if someone could post a link or email me a copy of the schematic for the crossover as I would like to tinker a little. Thanks!
  4. I do think they were "installed" at some point as there are some small screw holes in the bottom of both of them. Is their a spec sheet available on this version of the Heresy? Jeff
  5. Well I'm new to the site so here goes... I need help with a set of Heresys I purchased. First, they are not 3 way...just a K53H (horn) and K22? (woofer), E2 (crossover). They are black (birch?)they do not appear to be mdf. The initials THFB are stamped on them. Serial numbers are 161y### (built June of '83). I also have a set of Rebel 7s which I will be asking about soon. Please any info will help. Thanks!
