  1. I am running F-2s as my mains right now. So you would recommend getting another f-2 for my center? I was thinking maybe an f-3but that would probably be too big. Of course I can't see the f-2 fitting very well either.
  2. I just bought a Synergy C-2 on ebay for $80 (good deal) but now that leaves me with 2 c-2s and no rear surrounds. So i was thinking of using my c-2s as rear surrounds but then i need a new center channel. I would want something as big as or bigger than the C-2. RC-7s are going for about $500 on ebay right now (thats a good deal right?). But I am not sure if i want to spend that much money. Plus I'd want all my gear to be synergy so that it sound matches better. So I was thinking maybe throwing a synergy floorstanding in there as a center. Would that work? dave
  3. I need help finding some new klipsch speaker grilles. I just picked up a couple of Synergy III S-2's on ebay ($175... pretty decent price). But the grilles are a little bit messed up. Does anyone know where I can find some new grilles for a decent price? thanks dave
  4. I am trying to figure out which rear surround speakers to buy for my system. I am currently running 2Synergy f-2s, c-2, and ksw-12 into a denon 3300. I was looking to spend between $200-$300 on a pair of rear surround speakers. I was just hoping to get lucky and find a great deal on ebay on S-3's but I don't think that will happen. I did see a pair of RS-25s for $200. Is that a good deal? How do the RS-25's compare to the synergy line? Does anyone else have any other suggestions? Maybe an SS-3... how are they? thanks dave
  5. I believe that his use of the word "beck" was another bad joke... he was referencing to the previous beck reference "two turntables and a microphone"
  6. wow... how did my original post turn into this conversation?
  7. Thanks alot all you guys, your comments have been very helpful and very encouraging! dave

While I would love to go ahead and buy a $1k plus receiver, thats not going to be a reality for quite some time. College bills have to come before my Home Theater, unfortunately. However, I think the receiver I picked up should work great. It is a higher end used receiver, so It isnt really a 300 receiver. dave
  9. Yah I went with the denon 3300... can anyone think of anything wrong with that or have any suggestions for running that with my system (f-2s, ksw12, c-2)
  10. Yah I actually just found one online for $280..not bad: http://www.ztradingpost.com/product/4CBE3546-2334-4672-B14C-C0FB10A9D0DE/2083053.aspx I think Im going to have to get it

At that price point they are all just about the same i think. you might look at a used higher end model that is now cheaper. i know a buddy that is selling a Denon 3300 for $300. its in great shape. ---------------- Well I'd be very interested in that... is there some way you can get me in touch with him?
  12. I was looking around on ebay the other day and came across this product: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5792262286&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBI%3AIT&rd=1 Does anyone know what this is? Has anyone else heard of it? Would anyone recommend for or against it? thanks
  13. I meant suggestions for receivers between $200 and $300... any specific models??
  14. Just trying to get some extra opinions here from the highly astute forum members. I am running 2 F-2s, a c-2, KSW-12 and some yet to be purchased rear surrounds that will also be in that power range (hopefully some s-3s if I can manage to make friends with a best buy employee). I am trying to pick out the receiver that I want though. I am looking to spend between 200 and 300. Most people I have talked to recommend Yamaha (the 5840 or 5850 seem to be the most reasonable and often mentioned). What do you all think???
  15. haha what is $1k... $1k is half of what I make in the summer.... I dont really need them anywys. I just bought a pair of f-2s. I just was trying to get a steal
