  1. Thats my trio of SVS subs. THey shake to house.
  2. I also have 5.2s as my mains. I use a 4.2 as my center channel. I attached a pic, so take a look. I have a 4.2 that I modified to use as a center channel. I put the horn inbetween the PR and Driver, but I mounted the horn vertically instead of horizontal. After trying the other 4.2 in the upright position I think its going to stay Earle
  3. These are still available at this audio store. They are now asking $600 for the 20's and the C-7. Im not a store employee, just a customer passing a a great deal. P/U only. Email for details. Earle
  4. WOW, old thread coming back. I actually only use one of the 4.2s, as I made a center channel out of the other. I have my surrounds(5.2's) on concrete pavers, seems to work well. Earle
  5. I use 5.2's as my mains and surrounds. I think they sound great. Found both pairs on Ebay and local. Both pairs cost less than my 4.2's which I purchased new. Nice to see another KG series fan. Earle
  6. Its in great shape. Im in CT. I think its sold just waiting for confirmation Thanks for your interest Earle
  7. I have a Sony CE775 SACD Changer with manual and remote. No original box, will package properly for shipping. This is a great way to test the SACD waters. Im only selling because I got a Pioneer 563A universal player and no longer need the Sony. PayPal or Postal MO only. Asking $125 + half of shipping. Earle
  8. I did the mod to one of my 4.2's and couldnt be happier. I now have 5.2's as my mains and surrounds and a 4.2 as my center. When I built the 4.2 center I used the driver and the passive radiator and turned the horn vertical. I think it sounds great. I figured it only took a few hours to do the mod to the speaker and I sould always redo it with a port. I used to use a 2.2v as my center and the 4.2 is far superior. Having the same horn for all 5 speakers makes a huge difference. Pans across the front are amazing. Earle
  9. I got a Hitachi 51F500 at CC for $1850 and couldnt be happier. DirecTV looks pretty good and DVDs look great. I cant wait to get some HDTV in the house. Earle
  10. Jim These are located about 20 min from me. I started to drool, until the wife shot me down. I guess I cant complain too much as she just OK'ed the HDTV. They are in a fairly highend store. earle
  11. Bill, I use a pair of KG 3.5's as my rear surrounds. I did try them up front just to see what they sounded like. i thought they sounded good, not as good as my 5.2's but for the price I got them, under $200, Im impressed. Earle
  12. heres the web address. I dont know how to make it a active link. http://pages.cthome.net/sdecker/index.html VE=Video Essentials I cant receive any OTA HD progamming due to my location, Im in a valley which seems to block nearly all OTA stuff. I have been thinking about try out Comcast for their HD programming but I just got a DirecTivo about 9 months ago and would hate to give it up. Earle
  13. Yep, it is 3 SVS subs. They definatly can make the room rock and roll. I updated my website so feel free to take a look.
  14. I finally got the OK to buy my TV and went with a Hitachi 51F500. The picture is great after running a VE calibration. I now understand why all the videophiles out there are talking about. DVD's have never looked so crisp and clear. I plan on having it ISFed in August by Gregg Lowen, just need to set up the appointment. Check out the pic above. I definatly need to update my webpage soon. Earle
  15. Try the Rotel RSX-1055. I think it matches perfect with Klipsch. Earle
  16. I have a pair of KSB 3.1's in reat shape. They were wall mounted so there are 4 small screw holes on the rear of the speaker. These have no effect on the speakers sound. They sound great and I am only selling them because I replaced them with KG 3.5's. Asking $150+shipping/OBO. Willing to trade. Earle
  17. double post//please delete
  18. Well it was Silence Of The Lambs. I just can watch this movie over and over again. It looked fantastic. I have never seen it on a WS before and the detail was incredable. earle
  19. I just finished putting everything back together and all is well. IT only took about 2 hours to pull everything apart and then put it all back together I went with a Hitachi 51F500. DVD's look fantastic and DirecTV is pretty good. Some channels seem to be better than others. I already did a quick VE calibration Now, what to watch as my first movie??? Earle
  20. When I had my 3802 there was no way to redirect bass to the subs when using the multi inputs. In my opinion the multi inputs should not redirect bass to the subs unless the receivers/preamps manufactor includes analog bass management. ie implimenting a HP crossover for the other speakers. The 5.1 inputs should be a straight analog bypass. There are products on the market that allow for proper BM when using the 5.1 inputs or the SACD/DVD-A players should incorporate BM. If manufacters insist on redirecting bass to the sub while using the multi inputs, they should allow the user the option of turning the redirect off. Outlaw comes the closest to this with their BM on the 5.1 inputs of their 950pre/pro but if you turn it off you get bass doubling. Rotel also redirects bass to the subs thru the 5.1 inputs, but they have finally given owner the option of correcting this with a simple modification. Im unsure about the 3803 or HK 525. Just my .02 earle
  21. If your budget is around $1200 you should give a listen to the Rotel 1055. I owed a Denon 3802 and auditioned a HK 520. The Rotel was hands down better musically for HT they were very close. The 1055 combined with a small amp for the rear centers gets my vote. As always get what you think sounds the best earle
  22. ok, How about $125+ shipping? Also willing to trade. earle
  23. Why do you need to have a shielded speaker if its a RPTV? I have it on the floor about 1' in front of my RPTV and have no problems. I thought only tube sets have this issue. Earle
  24. I just missed a pair or Heresys for $150 local. I was fired up and had cash in hand. Called him and was told they just left his house. Almost owned my first Heritage speakers. I had to tell the guy he practically gave them away. He said he just wanted to sell them fast, HE DID.
  25. Well its after 1AM and Im listening to The Steve Kimock Band. Thaks god for music and Klipsch speakers. At least I know that I can function on no sleep for a day, cat naps help.
