I was but it got too rich for my blood. I bailed at 800.00. They finally sold for over 1,700.00!! My search for these puppies continues...

If anyone knows where I can find a decent pair for around 1,000.00, please let me know.

Yep, Mackie SMR 450's with the 1500 or 1800 powered subs will fill damn there anything, sound fantastic, and fit in a midsize car!!! It doesn't get much better than that!! You know how it is with Klipsch though...wanted them then, gotta have 'em now. Let me know if you hear anything or if you're willing to sell.

Yep, "the Klipsch of my dreams" as well. I have a pair of birch LaScala's (with 1/2 grill kits in my living room right now). I own a multi system DJ company and since I started it in 1983 I always wanted a pair of these puppies. Wasn't in the budget then...is now. These would strictly be to play with, since all my sound systems now contain Mackie Powered Speakers. I'm getting to old to lift LaScala's every weekend. If you hear of any please let me know. If you have any you're willing to part with, let me know!!
