  1. I saw them at the New York Consumer Electronics show in 2004....yeah it was a long time ago and yes I forgot alot but they sounded pretty good, I got a hat from them and the guy who runs or is the president or founder of the company was there showing off the gear. He seemed pretty enthusiastic but I suppose he should be. The stuff seemed nice to me anyway, if you do buy some shoot me an e-mail and I'll send you the hat because I haven't and I won't wear it.....

  2. That would make a great poster. For all the Khorn owners with long walls they should do a long, say 15'x3', "timeline" banner in the same style which would cover the most notable changes and improvements to the Klipsch line. Than at the end they could put the 60th anniversary Khorn so ten years from now we can all laugh about how dated it is.

  3. You'll need a phono preamp to amplify the low level cartrige output to a higher level signal your preamp's aux or tape jack can use. There are many nice phono stages out there around $100 or you could get a cheapie for $20; it of course will not perform as well as a good one.

  4. Or how about a remake of the classic LaScala poster that sold on ebay a while back, went something like this: "with a thirty five watt amp and LaScalas you can rock your apartment" and than at the bottom it said "or the whole building". It read something close to that and the first picture was an apartment building with just one apartment lit up with a party inside and the second picture was of the whole building obviously awake from all the noise.

  5. I did a little room rearranging today and wound up with a huge space above my equipment rack and speakers. So now it looks kind of plain and I was wondering if there are any audio/Klipsch posters out there? I did a Google search but got nothing. Any ideas?

  6. I suppose Klipsch doesn't feel threatened and for good reason. Most people interrested in buying a pair of new Klipsch speakers want the real McCoy and are willing to pay for it. As for the copying, Klipsch didn't bother Speakerlab so I suppose they were and still are comfortable with their reputation.

  7. OK sounds good (or bad depending on the speaker) Anyway, I'll pick them up and give 'em a shot. Its only going to be a reciever based system anyway so what the heck. I figured I'd be getting a better response to these because of what I've read on the rest of the net but perhaps those others haven't heard Klipsch yet....

  8. ...I'm thinking about picking up some Ohm Walsh 2's for use in a second system. I have extra gear that I need to use that I'd rather not sell so I thought I'd start a second system. I have LaScalas already so the Klipsch base is covered but I can't resist these for the price. So, has anyone here heard them? Are they worth the c note that I will be paying for them?

  9. Yeah the pizza at Benny's is good but I like Gio's better. Yes, the tuition is hard to swallow but the good news is that I was able to get a few scholarships which pared it down quite a bit. If there is one thing I have learned about the whole college game by talking to people it's that they rarely charge you what they ask for by the time money is handed out. That is just my personal experience but who knows. What also makes me feel good is that my friend goes to MIT and their baseline tuition is 47.
