Hi! I just bought soundcare superspikes to put under my Klipsch KLF 20´s and while attaching them I found out that they didn´t go all the way in so to speak and I found that a little bit weird. Aren´t they supposed to go all the way in? Although the speakers are steady and that I find that the base has improved significally I still wonder. Have any of you out there had this "problem" also? I´m not sure if they sell these spikes over there and if not here is a weblink for those of you who want to see what i´m talking about. Regards! Mike www.soundcare.no

Hello! Unfortunately while it is only a rip in the membrane I saw a hole about an inch in diameter in the cone when I lifted the element up. The people i´ve been talking to over here in Sweden say I have to replace the whole base element and as AR are pretty unusual here it has to be shipped from the U.S. On the plusside it seems that my insurance company will help with costs regarding this matter and I think this is the best thing to do, to replace the whole thing that is. I also put this question in a different forum on this site. I managed to damage the paper membrane, i.e the material that you see if you turn your sub up side down. I made a crack about two inches long and how will I fix this? Will it affect the sub´s performance? Do I have to buy a whole new element and if so, where?. To clarify, there is nothing wrong with the base cone but the crack is in the material closest to the floor. It´s a "downfiring" 15" Acoustic Research ARS 500. Any ideas? Mike

When moving my Acoustic Research ARS 500 15" sub I stumbled and made a crack at the bottom "papermembrane" of the sub with my knee, about two inches long. How will this affect the sub´s performance and how can I fix this problem. Can I fix it with some glue or do I have to buy a new element and in that case where? To clarify, there´s nothing wrong with the speakercone, it´s the membrane that has the crack. What to do? Mike

Hi! I have a problem with a very low bass in my center speaker when I use the mode 7channel stereo. The rear center though, gives out plenty of bass. And no, I haven´t connected the speakers to the wrong terminal. In for example the Dolby Prologic II mode the center gives out all the bass I need. I just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing the same problem as I do. I have the following setup: Denon 3802 receiver Klipsch KLF 20´s as fronts Klipsch KLF C-7 as center Klipsch KSP S-6´s as surrounds Klipsch RC-3 as rear center Yamaha YST-SW800 as sub Pioneer DV-737 as dvd Also, how do you guys set your speakers. I don´t find that much of a difference between small or large setup though there is a significant difference between setting the crossover to 80hz instead of for example 100hz. Any recommendations and hints will be appreciated. Regards! Mike

Hi! I tried a lot of speaker settings and haven´t yet decided which one is the best. When I play music with Prologic II music setting I have bass in the front center so it´s funny that I don´t have it on 5/7 channel stereo. At first I thought I had a bad speaker cable but it works great with movies and, as I said, the Prologic II setting. When I watch TV on the Prologic II setting I can´t help but to feel that the center sounds a little bit flat, I mean it´s so big that I feel I could expect more but maybe I have expectations that are to high. And maybe TV-programs are not the correct element to decide the speaker capacity, although I have a digital cable box the sound isn´t like on a dvd disc. It would also be interesting to hear what you guys have set the different speaker channel levels on and which result this makes on the volume setting when watching movies. What I mean is which volume level you feel you have to use to give you a decent soundstage. I will experiment some more and I will also try a different center speaker cable to see if the fault lies there. I now have a Straight wire cable but will try with a monster cable. I hope you guys could help me some more. Regards. Mike

I finally got my new receiver, the Denon 3802 and my setup is now as follows: -Denon 3802 receiver -Klipsch KLF 20´s as fronts -Klipsch KLF C-7 as front center -Klipsch RC-3 as rear center -Klipsch KSP S-6 as surrounds -Yamaha YST-SW800 as sub I have a few questions that I hope that someone could help me with: 1. As my Klipsch set-up works at 8ohm, is there some setup on the receiver that I have to make to receive the best sound? I know that a friend of mine set the receiver on 4ohm which gave him a boost in sound but I haven´t found such a setup on my receiver. 2. When I play music in 7 channel stereo i´m not getting any, or just very little, bass from my front center but a lot of bass from my rear center. Should it be this way. Is there some additional setup that I have missed? When I watch movies the bass is certainly there at the front center so it makes you wonder. Other than that this is a very competent receiver which works great with my Klipsches. The 6.1 versions of Gladiator and 7even are awesome. Hope that someone has time to help me. Regards. Mike.

Hello! I just received my new Denon 3802 receiver and I have a problem right from the start. As speaker contacts I have these thick plug-ins, we call them banana plug-ins here in Sweden and maybe you do to, and on my former Sherwood receiver the only thing I had to do was to take out the little plugs on the speaker connectors and then plug in the bananas there. But now on the Denon I just can´t seem to take these plugs out so I don´t know what to do. Also, the connectors on the Denon are a little bit longer than on the Sherwood and if it so, that the bananas should be plugged in from behind so to speak, I get a feeling that they are to short to make a correct connection. It doesn´t seem right that I have to unscrew the connectors and force the bananas in there and then screw it back again. If some words seem funny to you guys it´s just because I don´t have the right ones to explain my problem. Please help me with my dilemma. Regards. Mike

Hello! As my all around Klipsch speaker system run at 8 ohms, what does this mean for the receiver setting? Someone told me that I will have to adjust the settings in my Denon 3802 receiver so that the sound will be optimized. Can anyone point me in the correct direction I.E what setting will have to be made? Regards. Mike!

Hello! I have an RC-3 and will soon receive my new KLF C-7. The former is biwireable but can you also do this with the C-7? And, if I choose not to go the biwireable way does it matter if I put the two speaker cables in the upper or the lower hookups. On my RC-3 I currently have the speaker cables hooked up to the upper inputs on the back of the speaker. Thanks. Mike
