  1. You could buy a network music player, like the squeezebox. www.slimdevices.com Then you just put all of your music on your computer's hard drive. It supports multiple file formats including lossless formats. I have had one for about 6 months and I love it. I have had no problems with it other than the remote control, but they replaced that for free. Its great not having to constantly change CDs, or worry about them getting damaged.
  2. I have not built my own projector, but I found some articles on Toms Hardware about how to build your own. http://www.denguru.com/2004/11/13/supersize_your_tv_for_/index.html http://www.tomshardware.com/2004/12/01/build_your_own_xga_projector_ii/
  3. I am using my old SB-1s for surround speakers and I am mounting them to my back wall. On the omnimount web page they recommended the 20.0 mount for the SB-1. Today I picked up a set of these mounts, but the bolt is too big to thread into the back of the speaker. It came with a plate for mounting on the back, but there is no good way of putting the plate on the speaker. Does anyone know a good way to mount the SB-1s to the omnimount? Im open to any suggestions you might have. Thanks
  4. The problem is that I am on a tight budget. Do you think that an RC-10 would match the SB-1?
  5. I have just recently decided to expand my stereo setup to surround sound. Right now my setup is two SB-1 speakers with a Yamaha HTR-5730 receiver. My room is fairly small at around 10 by 12 feet. I am planning on buying an RW-8, but I am having troubles deciding on a center and surround speakers. Since I have a tight budget I have been looking at RC-10 and RS-10, but I know very little about these speakers. Do they have the same quality as the rest of the Reference line, or would I be better off buying from the Synergy line? I would also like to know if mixing Synergy and Reference speakers would work. I am open to buying more Synergy speakers, but from what I have read on this form it seems that reference are better. I am open to any suggestions anyone might have. Thanks for your help
