  1. Well, I am taking all suggestions into account. Starting to listen a bit to her music; we are both discussing getting another set of iFi's; I tried cooking and was kicked out of the kitchen (BTW, I have never once in eighteen years of marriage ever asked my wife to cook; she either does or doesn't and I will take her out for dining). Not much of a TV watcher; enjoy reading more. The couch...been there, done that.
  2. I tried to listen to the iGroove at my local Apple Store and compare it to the iM7 and SoundDock, but it was impossible to do so with all the people in the store. I do like the size of the iGroove. It a personal sized unit and would go well on my nightstand (but I have iFi's in the room already). I also stand by the quality of the recording you put through a Klipsch as it makes such a difference: garbage in, garbage out; quality in, quality out.
  3. Increasingly, my wife is taking over my new iFi's, and I am losing the battle. Bummer. I am not seeking help as winning against her will only yield other repercussions. My wife and I have very different tastes in music, and she is now dancing around our master bedroom to the beat. When I chose my music I get the boot; life is cruel.
  4. The bass on my iFi's is booming, and I do mean booming. Have you played with the bass control? Too cool. Since this system is sooooo much better than any other system I have for my iPod's I am having to go back rip at a higher rate (my wife is already warning me about the piles of CD's gathering in our studio--again). Most or all my music collection is at 192, but the iFi's just demand more and deliver when they get it. I did the Black Eyed Peas Monkey Business that my wife just purchased and if you want to hear bass, this is one CD that has it.
  5. Larry1, Not chastising MTMT, and I trust it did not come off that way, but apparently it did--my apologies to MTMT and others. Just trying to be mindful of Klipsch wishing to sell direct their iFi units. On another note, I am in love with my new iFi's...simply great sound, and my wife even allowed me to leave them in them in our master bedroom! Now that says something.
  6. I like the design of the remote. Clever that is the oval of the Klipsch logo. Whenever I acquire anything that is displayed or rests against another surface I always place felt buttons on the bottom of the object. In the case of the Klipsch remote there is really no need (all my many other remotes do have felt pads on the bottom), but what I did is place one pad on the bottom toward the end, but not covering the screw to release the back, to indicate, by feel, where the larger play/pause button is when I am not visually looking at the remote.
  7. MTMT, I think with all should have not posted here about the Costco deal as I am sure that Klipsch has an agreement with its vendors, and then we come along disrupting that agreement. And we are guests here. My Costco is out and receiving no more so I lucked out as I was going to get another set. I will order through Klipsch's Half Priced deal as any good manufacturer stands behinds their refurbished products, and I have had no problems with any refurbished product that I've purchased from a major name. Also, I can tell no difference from the two and as one manufacturer once told me, I'm better off with their refurbished units as they are extensively tested whereas the new units are randomly chosen for complete testing (I do not make claim that Klipsch does not do complete testing of their products, I am simply making a statement on refurbished products of another manufacturer); he was right as the unit I bought still works flawlessly. Bottom line: I am very thankful to Klipsch for allowing me such an outstanding deal on an exceptional product. Thanks.
  8. Well, I initially went to Costco two days ago I saw the iFi's for $199. Did a double-take, but walked on as I didn't believe it could possibly be the iFi's for that price. Next day, I told my wife I messed-up and that I should go back, because if they had any left, I'd purchased a set. When we entered the store I beelined for the location they were at, and they were gone. My wife said I look like a hurt puppy. She went her way and I went mine and lo and behold if they hadn't moved them. There were about five sets left, so I snatched one up pronto--zero hesitation. You simply cannot go wrong with that price, even if Klipsch does an EOL for this model. My wife has the Costco membership as I said I disliked going to the zoo to shop, but I have been eating my words ever since. Growing up as a service brat I can tell you that if you see a great deal at Costco--DO NOT HESITATE--buy it, as like the military, when it's gone, it's gone. Costco buys and sells on rare items like this the same way the military does. I am one happy puppy now. What a steal of a deal for this level of speakers.
