  1. Are you serious? What is the MSRP for them? My dealer told me that they go for $460 each brand new? Can someone tell me what is the MSRP for the 82s? If my dealer ripped me off, then I'm going to ask for money back and trade up for the 63s that way. Oh yea...I'm trying to rip someone off with Klipsch speakers in the Klipsch forum. I maybe misinformed, but not stupid.
  2. there is not much that I didn't like about the Klipsch sound. I switched recently from B&W to Klipsch, but something is driving me to get the matching RF63 to match the RC64.
  3. Like the title states, I have a pair of RF82 for sale in black. I'm sure most know that the RF82 is one of the floorstanders of the new Reference series, so no doubt about how old they are. Most dealers don't even have them in stock yet, I was fortunate enough to be able to get a pair from the first batch. I'm pondering the idea of getting a pair of RF63 to match my RC64, so here's the "feeler" sale. The 82s are like new, barely broken in. They look and function like brand new speakers. Asking price of $900, let me know if you have any questions. Prefer local pick-up in the 91748 area. I have lots of positive feedbacks from Audiogon and Videogon under the same user name.
  4. i actually paid 800 for the RC64. But the dealer waived the tax, and gave me a pretty good deal, on the 82s. I'm thinking about bringing the 82s back in and exchange it for the 63s.
  5. anyone got to compare the 63 vs. the new 83? I have the RC64, what's the difference in performance with tweeter?
  6. get a nice decent 5 channel amp. A rotel 1075 can be had for 750 in the used market.
  7. I just became a new owner of Klipsch speakers with RF82 and RC64s. Heard some people talking about the "premier series" is that a new series that's about to be released in the near future?
  8. I was able to pick up a RC64 and RF82 for a really good deal. Can't really give a review or comparison between the RC7 and RC64, because I didn't get to spend enough time with the RC7. My last speakers were the B&W700s, which were pretty good for movies as well, but nothing near the Klipsch's dynamics and details. After the change of speakers, I went back and watched some of my favorite movies and noticed much more subtle details coming from the RC64 vs. the HTM7. So far I'm very happy with the Klipsch's. The only thing that I wish Klipsch would do is maybe somehow find a better way to separate the tweeters from the midrange. B&W have always been really good at this because of their cabinet design, I think if Klipsch can do this, the result sound would be even better...IMO.
  9. I was able to pick up a RC64 and a pair of RF82 for a pretty good deal. Guess I lucked out. I wish I had gotten the RF63 or 83, but my room is small, no point for the 3 way speakers. How long does it take to break Klipsch speakers in?
