  1. I would like a little imput from some of you Klipsch heads out there. The heritage line aside for the moment, what are your thoughts on these three one time "flagship" speakers and how do you think they each would react to a 25 watt tube amp? CF 4 KLF 30 and the RF 7 I see many similarities and I see many differences. Aluminum diaphragms, phenolic, titanium, etc. If you were on a mission to find a set of speakers would you avoid any of the above mentioned? A little background again, I want to put together an all tubed vinyl rig using the above mentioned amp but, I really don't want to use a sub. Now, from the specs, the above three are shown to have better bass responce than the La Scala or the Belle. And sorry, the Khorns are out for now. Thanks in advance, Terry
  2. I know this is a WIDE open question but I would like to here your thoughts and experiences, especially those of you that are running tubed electronics. This is just to get some opinions and not start any, this verses that sort of thing. I've really been looking hard at the RF-7's and they would be driven with an analogue frontend and tubed electronics including a 25 pp amp. Are there better choices? There is also a set of La Scalas available locally but I've heard that the 7's image better and are easier to set up as far as room placement. Fact or fiction? Thanks in advance, Terry
  3. Help me here if I'm wrong in any way. The RF-7's were using a 1.75" compression driver which was crossed at 2200? Now the RF-83 is using a 1.25" compression driver crossed at 1650 according to the spec sheet. By one, decreasing the size of the driver and then lowering the circuit would they have to "up" the order of the crossover to protect this unit and would this color the sound? Both speakers are rated at 250w rms and 1000w peaks. It seems they would have to do something to protect a "smaller" HF driver that is handling duties 550 hz lower than its bigger ancestor. Confused...
  4. Hi all, First, does this mean that the RF-7 is done? Second, I noticed from the specs that the RF-83 is listed at 100db vs: the RF-7's 102. This actually would be important to those with lower powered tube equipment. Terry
