  1. I had a C-28 driving an MC-240 for several years. Very good combination. I also drove aa pair of mono'd Hafler DH-500's with the C-28 with excellent results. Now that I've gone to all Audio Research gear, I don't think I could go back to the Mac stuff. The Mac's sound nice and musical, but ARC combines the musicality with an amazing amout of resolution that the Mac just can't. The best things about the Mac gear is that it's built like a tank, and the resale is always great. Corey
  2. I just received an Audio Research amp that the UPS Store packed for the shipper. It was FLOATING around in the box with 1 layer of bubblewrap around it, followed by 6 inches of air! Fortunately, the A.R.C. stuff is built like tanks. Still sounds great! Corey
  3. My second chance guy took them. He Paypal'd the money to me right away. He's in PA though, so let's see what a hassle it turns into. Ahh.......the saga continues! Corey
  4. Well......I can tell you that has burned me in 100% (1) of my transactions with him. What are people thinking sometimes? I NEVER bid on something that I'm not positive I want. Corey
  5. Thanks Fritz. I'm new to deadbeat buyers. I've always had good luck. Corey
  6. Nope. He sent me an email right after the auction ended and said he couldn't complete the auction. I just don't want anyone here to get burned by him. Corey
  7. Yeah, I sent the second chance to the next guy. Unfortunately, he has 0 feedback, and hasn't reponded to any of my emails since his first bid 5 days ago. We'll see. Corey
  8. This knucklehead was the high bidder on my LaScalas for a couple days now. He just won the auction, then emails me that he tried to cancel his bid yesterday, but it didn't work! Now I've got to re-list, and deal with Ebay refunding my fees!!!!!! What a Jacka$$!!!!!! Corey
  9. Dial up? What's that? L.O.L.! Sorry, I thought the forum automatically re-sized. The Dynaco is sold to Jackpod. Thanks Jack! Other good stuff still available though. Corey
  10. oops! Double post.......sorry Corey
  11. And the TV shelf extension..........
  12. Here's a couple pics. I also have the black rear panel, and black shelf the goes under the TV extension. I can't get pics right now, cause they're in the attic and I've got to get to work soon. They are in fine condition as well though. Other than some minor scratches from normal use, this whole unit is very nice. Corey
  13. I'll post a pic for you as soon as I can find my daughters camera. She tries to hide it from dad because I always leave her batteries dead. Kind of like putting the empty milk carton back in the fridge. Corey
  14. This one has plastic leads if I remember correctly. Looking through the tube cage it looks that way as well. This is a great little amp, and it will even drive my Dynaudio's, which are very difficult. Corey
  15. Hi Everyone, I think I've finally got my LaScalas sold through Ebay now, but I've got some other stuff that needs a home. Making room for the new Belles that I should have next week. If anyone is interested, I can email my phone number to chat. 1. Salamander Synergy S-40, Cherry/Black, 4 shelves, perforated doors, sides and rear panels, TV shelf option with shelf underneath. I paid about $800.00 a few years ago. I'm looking for $325.00+shipping. This can be disassembled for easy shipping. 2. Dynaco ST-70. Fully serviced with new EL-34. N.O.S. tube cage. Nickel plating and graphics are very good. Extra RCA's added on front panel to allow larger cables. $300.00 3. Dynaco PAS preamp. Nice cosmetics. Sounds great! Filter cap inside replaced by someone at sometime. Electrically fine, but I would replace with proper can-cap to be correct. $100.00 4. Dynaco ST-120/PAT 4. Nice early solid state rig. 1966 I believe. Nice cosmetics, sounds great! $250.00 for the pair. I accept Paypal if that's easier. I also have a commercial UPS account for my guitar shop, so shipping isn't bad. If anyone needs pics, let me know. If anyone needs feedback, I'm "gibsongeek" on Ebay. Corey
  16. I've got a pair of cherry veneered La Scalas in Boston for sale. They're '77's with AA crossovers. I'd "like" to get $1000.00, but I'll deal. I've gotta make room for some new Belles! Corey
  17. I had posted my cherry re-veneered La Scalas here a couple weeks ago. Looks like money might be tight all around. Well....I've committed to a pair of Belles, but I can't pick them up until the La Scalas are gone because I don't have the room. I'd be up for some cool trades of vintage or modern amps, turntables, speakers, (especially RB-75's), you name it. Tubes or solid state stuff. I'd be willing to drive a couple hours to meet as well. If anyone is interested, email me at rockcityguitars@yahoo.com, and I'll give you my number so we can chat. Thanks, Corey P.S. I've also got a Salamander S-40 in cherry/black for sale as well. It's in great shape, with all options except claw feet. I'd like $350.00 for it.
  18. WOW! I though for sure someone would need these! If anyone has a reasonable offer, I'll cetainly consider it. I'm kinda pressed for time, as I don't want the local Belles to get sold on me. Any offers? Corey
  19. Fortunately, my hood suck up most of the ugly stuff! L.O.L.!!! Hopefully we've got a member here that needs some La Scalas. I'd rather keep them in the "family". Corey
  20. and finally....... P.S. sorry about the dust in the basshorns! I'll be sure to clean that up soon.
