  1. i have not had them run out of gas either, similar efficiency and power handling, but at least KG-4 vs. Heresy, is a closer match than that Heresy vs. Chorus thread from a while back.
  2. Just the kind of replies I am looking for, so far it seems the RF-83 has the edge, I was not sure they would be up to it in the bass department. I really like the looks of both speakers. I will be driving either set with SS or a dynaco ST-70. Hopefu;;y this will bring good results.
  3. Does anyone have any listening experience with the RF-7 and the RF-83, I can not decide which one to get. I have found a reasonable source for both and price wise the RF-83 costing a little more. What is better about each one? Thanks much for any advice
  4. Both are very nice speakers. If you want bass and don't have a sub you should go with the KG-4's, they pound pretty good.
  5. That's great that I got a good deal, I feel even better after all the nice posts. Michael sent me information on how to fix the baffle issue which I will be doing this weekend. Also, I have ordered replacement dust caps for the missing ones on the woofers. Does it help these out to solder the wires directly to the drivers?
  6. Thanks for the kind words dtel's wife. Hopefully I can make the pilgrimage next year and meet all you good folks! Dan
  7. Hi Michael, I will call you in the AM. This is my next step in my humble wall of Klipsch, hopefully many more will follow soon. I can not wait to fire this system up and hear its full glory. Dan
  8. Can the sika-flex be put in without removing the motor board? I am worried that the little bit of glue remaining will bring a large chunk of the cabinet with it. Dan
  9. Hi All, Please rate my new system I bought as a turn-key deal for $500.00. KLF-20's KSF-C5 KSF-S5 Yamaha RX-V992 Receiver Infinity BU-2 Sub Only problem are the speakers seem to have loose motor boards and backs, and one of the speakers has the two dust caps off the woofers. Are these common problems?
  10. Hi Rick, Great deal on some awesome speakers! I think a Hafler 200, 220 or 500, or a Carver m1.0T would be a great match for your Forte's. Either will really make them sing. You will definitely rediscover your music collection as the Forte' is a big step up from the 4311. Dan
  11. Hi, I have been thinking of using a K61 for a Cornscala type project, does anyone know how low it can be used, I assume it is crossed at 700Hz in the Forte II, and 600Hz in the Chorus II, is this correct? I have a pair of beater cabinets to try this with and thought there might be something to it.
  12. Somebody please send me the non-photoshopped version of the Christy Canyon pics, I have been looking for them for a long time. Yes, I am well over 18 by a factor of 3 or so. Thanks much.
  13. Does anyone know anything about the KP-28-E that klipsch sells as a replacement for the Forte? Free air es., efficiency, quality would be appreciated. I just joined the forum, what a great place.
