  1. Great advice. I seem to always have my HT turned up too loud so when the loud special effects scenes come up I have to turn it down. It just makes sense to have it turned up just enough so the dialogue is at a realistic conversational level. I'll try that. Thanks!
  2. It sounds a little better. It's just strange that the crossover needs to be set so high. Oh well, I guess I'll try to work with it. Thanks.
  3. I have it set to Small with a cross over at 90 Hz. I've also tried it on Large and with other crossover frequencies but everything still gave me the same problem. Large made it worse.
  4. Well I've read quite a few posts with people having the same problem with the RC-35. Something with the ports being in the front... who knows. Try typing in "muffled RC-35" and let me know if it holds any water. I'll take a picture when I get a chance but I have the speaker above the flat screen with it angled down toward the seating area. I've checked the wiring and everything is where it should be. I've tried adjusting the bass, treble, the eq settings, dynamic eq... it's just when you get the lower male voices it tends to sound muffled and "boxy" sounding. Please let me know what you think. Also, would the RCX-4 be a poor speaker to replace it with if I end up having to? Thanks!
  5. I'm just curious. I have two RF 25 fronts, two RS 25 surrounds, and an RC 35 center. The center sounds very muffled and "tin can" like. I've read quite a few posts of others having the same problem. I've tried to tweak the sound all I can but I just can't seem to get it to sound right. Especially with the lower male voice, they come out very muffled. I'm powering everything with an Onkyo 876 so I have plenty of power. Anyways, I've read quite a few good posts about the RCX 4 and was wondering if it would be an improvement to my problem. Would it sonically be a good match? It's just a good price and with a lower budget being an issue I'd like all the input I could get. Also, if the RCX 4 wouldn't be a good match are there any other centers that anyone could suggest with a good price tag that sounds great? Thanks!

  7. Thanks for your input steve. I really appreciate your oppinion.
  8. Is it really worth the money to buy the RF 62's over the RF 25's? They both have the titanium tweeters and the cerametallic woofers so is there really that much difference between the two? I'm also considering the F-3's. Since they are a newer model, does anyone out there feel they are better than the RF 25's. I know it really comes down to listening tastes but do the materials used in both models compare?
  9. Any more oppinions would be great. I'm simply trying to choose between the RF 25's and the F3's and I know it really comes down to what I feel sounds better but I'd appreciate any input anyone could give me. If anyone has AB'd the two or close to them I'd really appreciate your oppinions as well. Thanks!
  10. How about material wise. Has the RF 25's been built with better materials than the F3's? And if so, do these materials really affect the sound that much?
  11. First of all. I've been looking at the specs. between the RF 62 and the RF 25 and I've noticed that there is not a lot of variance. What is the main differences between the two and why is the RF 62 so much more? Is it really that much better? Also, would you rate the F3's above the RF 25's or RF 62's even though it is the synergy series and not the reference series? I feel the high's of the RF 25's are cleaner and more pleasing than the F3's and I'm just wondering why the F3 is so much more. Is it really superior to the smaller reference speakers? Thanks to all that can help.
  12. I have the RS-10's and the ceiling is eight feet high. I also do have a swivel bracket for them. I was just wanting to know if you get better sound quality by keeping the speakers higher and aiming them at the listening area or lowering them with no angle. Any preference?
  13. I'm new to the forum and have just bought some Klipsch reference series surround speakers and was wondering when I install them on the wall if I should have them angled down toward the listening area or if I should keep them flush with the wall.
