  1. Not putting down the sound quality of the VSX-1019AH-K, but it felt really cheaply made. This is a big thing for me when buying anything of value. I ended up buying after listening to the Onkyo TX-SR-607 with my speakers. Clean sound with plenty of power, connections and looks really nice.
  2. I agree, but how do all the other said receivers sound with my Klipsch speakers? Thank you all for the great information so far!
  3. I'm going to buy it tonight, but wont get it connected till the weekend. I have looked at all the receivers in this price range and they all appear to have the same bells and whistles. I really love the look of the Pioneer.
  4. How well does Pioneer match up with my Klipsch speakers?
  5. I have had my NAD since it came out, love it very much. The NAD powered the B&W 602 v3's I just sold.
  6. Thanks guys! So the smaller center channel was not doing it for me after all. The two smaller mains still sound amazing to me. I ended up exchanging the smaller center for the XL-23, wow what a difference. Much fuller sounding and much more depth on the action scenes. Klipsch really hit a home run with these moderately priced speakers.
  7. These are only rated to handle 50 wpc, what would happen if i connect my NAD 70wpc amp to them? Is this a bad thing?
  8. You are right, was kind of in a hurry when posting. So even with wide dispersion with horns, you still would toe in. Just as normal, i will have the wife change positions while I listen. Thanks guys!
  9. Thank you for the information, but as I said in my post I'm not a newb when it comes to home audio. Thought maybe there was a special way for horn type speakers.
  10. Although i have been into Home Audio for some time now, I'm a newb with horns. What is a good speaker placement tostart with? Thanks guys in advance... PS: Diana Krall, her voice sounds amazing with my Klipsch XB-10 speakers.
  11. Just bought my first pair of Klipsch speakers today XL-12LCR for the center and XB-10 for mains. I must say I love these speakers very much. As soon as the sales guy turned them on I fell in love. I power these with an older NAD T753 70 wpc A/V Receiver.

I was thinking the same thing Bob, thanks. Do you think my NAD T753 is sufficient for the system I have listed? Thanks, Don

It's really hard for me to audition a wide range of speakers. I live in Reno, NV. I have been a firm believer about listen and make your own decision. Thanks, guys.....

Ok guys! I have only been able to audition the Synergy series. I liked the sound of them very much. Now knowing that, I have decided to go with the Reference line without auditioning them. What do you think of this setup, NAD T753 A/V Mains - RF62 Center - RC62 Rears RB 10, RB 51 or RSX5 Subs - Two Def Tech Pro sub 100TL (already own)

Hi all! I will be honest; Im considering many speakers from different manufactures. My room is a weird shaped (bonus room style). TV wall is 17 wide to the room separator and another 15 to the end, right side wall goes back roughly 30 back to the kitchen. The ceilings are 8 tall. My listening habits are in the middle; I love music, but love a great action flick as well. I like music to sound on the warm side, but not too warm. Also, I already have two Def Tech Pro 100tl 10 250w subs. My budget is roughly 1200.00 1400.00. I would like to keep it at 1200.00 (wife). What do you recommend? I have Listened to the series of Klipsch at Best Buy, are the reference series that much better? My components are as fallow, TV - Sony 36" KV-36FV27 A/V Receiver - NAD T753 70wpc 7.1, 90wpc in stereo (true wattage) 2 Ch Amp - Rotel RB-870BX 100wpc CD - Rotel 930AX DVD/DVDA - Panasonic DVD-A7 Pioneer DVD / SACD / DVDA Thanks all, Don
