  1. As I said in my first post Jay, I am switching out the amp for a dedicated one in order to gain more funcionality of the subwoofer.

My main goal is to be able to set an active crossover.  I want to implement the Ifi subwoofer with my studio monitors, but the studio monitors reach down much lower than what the Ifi subwoofer crosses over at with the Ifi amp.  If there is a way to set a lower crossover without changing out the amp, then forget partsexpress [H]

    P.S Partsexpress still PWNS.

    Peace
  2. I am wondering if I were to get a dedicated subwoofer amp similar dimensions as the Ifi amp, say from partsexpress, would it work well to use with the Ifi subwoofer?  Is the Ifi amp that comes with it any different, or "altered", then a refular, off the net amp?

I'm hoping it would sound the same or damn near similar, because I really want to turn this into a more versatile subwoofer to use with my studio setup.

    Thanks
    Peace
  3. Yes I know that, but I am not going to go start drilling holes in the wall, floor stands are much more rational to use. I'll just look around, though I just love the look and simplicity of the GMX stands, are you positive the GMX stands won't work? Have you actually tried this? Anybody else care to share their thoughts?

    Thanks

  4. Hey all, I am very proud and excitied to announce that I am soon going to be an owner of a Klipsch Ifi. Now, I am looking for floor stands an absolutley love the look of the GMX stands, and was wondering if the Ifi reference RSX 3 sats could fit on them? Any and all replies would be greatly appreciated :)

    Thanks

    Peace

  5. Im looking for pristine music reproduction without too much bass. Were moving into a rented apartment and playing music is fine but when that includes vibrations it's not... :(. So i was thinking of just getting the ProMedia Ultra 2.0 for my powermac G5 (which has a optical out btw) but since i have a receiver with optical in, i thought i might aswell get better speakers.

So it boils down to this: For my Powermac G5, (or any computer), for listening to music, what bookshelf speakers would you go with? Are the RSX-3s much better than the Ultra 2.0? I have ample desktop room to accomidate anything larger...say....RB-81? But thats an example, I am deciding between RSX-4, RSX-3, or Ultra 2.0

Question about the Ultra 2.0 tho, if I were to buy them, should I expect them to start wearing out in a couple months like other people have had happen to them, or will they last a good time?

    Thanks

    Peace
