Yeah it could use a good polishing for sure. It is over 10 years old and has lived outside and uncovered the whole time. Pretty good quality I would say. The igniters haven't worked for a few years but it doesn't bother me.

You won't be disappointed.

Here is my current outdoor kitchen. I cook mostly on the gas grill but the kettle sees a fair amount of action.

On the patio with the wife and kids listening to Sirius Hits 1. Gonna do some outdoor Buffalo wings and home fries. Had some fresh pineapple and watermelon to cut up as well.

It sure is nice around here this time of year.

Well here it is finished for now. It may stay like it is. I had a couple of good comments on the rough finish and it's growing on me.

Just dumped these in the pot.

Well the finish is not terrible but I am not satisfied. The MDF will not sand smooth. I will either apply veneer or sand again next weekend after the paint has completely cured. It does sound great though and the wife is cool with the finish as is. Oh, I'll be building the grill this afternoon.

Man, the quality of Home Depot MDF has gone way down. This won't sand smooth for anything. I'm gonna prime and spray paint to protect it from moisture then probably veneer it next weekend. The corners and edges are nice and straight.

It is an awesome fan. Unbelievable how quiet it is too. It was left when I bought the house.

Yeah I have the ability to piss off my rear (about 80 yards away) neighbors already. I have 3 pairs of speakers that cover my patio, swimming pool and BBQ area. This sub will only add to the chaos. After quite a bit of listening to various genres and some movie tracks I have to say this sub sounds really nice. It is very musical and shines in that respect. I don't have measuring equipment but my ears tell me it's pretty solid to 35-40hz and does OK in the upper 20's to 35hz. I'm curious about the performance of the RPW-10. I would imagine it was good bang for the buck. Anybody have some impressions on it?

Well, it sounds fantastic. The bass is tight and very clean. I did make a discovery after researching my amp it is 90 wrms not 150. It doesn't matter because it is plenty for this application. I guess the real test was how mad could I make my wife. She was very mad. This is probably going to be it's new home. I'll spend tomorrow on the finish.

It's coming along nicely. It should be ready to test tonight.

I checked the Jasper years ago, I think it was 30 or 40 bucks. I'm too frugal for that. As a matter of fact I think I learned about it on this forum. I have the motor board pieces glued and under heavy compression. I'm going to attach the back then run to Home Depot. I thought that i had a terminal cup but I don't. I'm going to use some stainless steel bolts for terminal studs. Double nutted on each side and wires attached with eyelets.

I want to mention my router circle jig. I just used some Plexiglas from Home Depot and screwed it to the bottom of my router. It's been going strong for several years.

That's a good question. I thought it might make it easier to cut and modify but it doesn't really matter. Anyway, holes are done. The fit is perfect!

That will have to wait. The back will be removable in case I want to add a Dayton SPA250 amp later on.

OK, I braced it as you mentioned. This should do the trick.

I was thinking due to the small size of the enclosure that center trusses may do the job without cross members. Thoughts?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try sealed to begin with since this will be on my patio. I don't want critters getting inside of it. If it doesn't do the job I may try porting it. I've had good luck in the past building ported and sealed. I think I like the sound of a sealed sub a little better.

I'm happy with the fit. Everything is glued and nail gunned. I'm going to also add screws. I ripped a 2x4 for the internal corner braces so that the screws would bite without stripping.

Yeah, I like taking pictures. All panels are cut.
