  1. I too recently acquired a pair of Heresy 1's and am currently driving them with a modified Dyna Stereo 70 - (theoretically 35 watts per channel). In my room which is 19.5 x 14.0 ft. and being seated 11 ft. from them, I find it provides a wonderful match. In my opinion, any decently designed tube amp having 15 or more watts per channel, (maybe less, since the Heresy's are fairly efficient), would be fine and may be "findable" within your budget; so good luck.
  2. Obviously, I didn't proof that one either.
  3. Meant to dsy front of speaker not "from". Must learn to proof my messages before sending them.
  4. While I was successful in posting a photo of the from of the speaker, I am having difficulty in posting a photo of the back...I click on options, go to the browse section, insert the appropriate photo and then the question is what to do next? Hitting save does nothing - the directions for making attachments really need help, so any thoughts would be appreciated.
  5. Here are the photos I finally took of one of the speakers.
  6. As I mentioned originally, the serial numbers are 115W956/957. The cups for the connectors are not pentagonal and there is no additional port on the front, metal reinforcement, handles on the top, or additional metal screen over the woofer. Hopefully, digital camera will be up and running tomorrow and I'll include some photos.
  7. To answer a few of the responses I received - It really does have MBK embossed on the backs of each and one of them has USA embossed on the back in two different places. The finish is a pebbly black and the backs are held on by 8 screws. And when I get my digital camera working again, I will show photos. Thanks to all who have helped me so far.
  8. I recently purchased what I think are rather rare Heresy's and I would like to get a little further information about them. They are labelled MBK and the serial numbers are 115W956/957. They have 5 way binding posts in a cup on the bottom part of the back and have what I call a "Pro" finish. Any answers would be helpful. Thanks
