  1. Hey

The multiple hours burn in were aimed at the original Bifrost and the Uber Bifrost,  The new multibit is supposed to be 99% burned in at 4 hours use

Uber compared to Multibit,  IMHO there is no Huge difference in SQ, My impressions are that the Multibit is smoother more analogish, with possibly better bass, some have said it is clearer

I will say Multibit will not be supplanting my Havana, The slight edge is more than I want to hear, my HD800 headphones are superbly revealing and if any offending traits are there I will hear them, as everyone is saying burn is is 4 hours, I think I have heard what I need to in order to make my decision on which stays

My last go round with DAC's kind of put me in the same spot, and though the slight edge is VERY SLIGHT I am not willing to give up my Havana a 2nd time

Thanks Joe, I got into my Bifrost second/third hand so I don't have big $'s in it. I too found it has a bit of an edge and if the Multibit would smooth that out I would consider it.

  2. They are spikes and just leave holes works great , i just push down on DAC and it makes its own holes

lol, as long as they are symmetrical.

  3. Chuck, I'm looking forward to hearing your impressions of the Bi Frost. I'm considering the Gungir to go with my Mac Mini, this is my first attempt at going the digital route an I'm finding there's way too much out there to consider. What is your, or any ones, take on the quality of the USB 2.0 interconnect between the computer and the DAC. Some of the reading I've done says it makes a difference. Al, feel free to chime in here on your take. Paul79 has been a big help on setup.

  4. just returned from a gun show, and brick, which is around 500 rounds of 22 ammo was selling for $65. Still the cheaps round to shoot.

  5. Earl, glad to see you got the NBS as well, those three units belong together. I don't know about the kt 150's, but those driver tubes are killer, you're in for a treat.

  6. I traded the K75 russian caps " the mean green's" out for the Jupiter coppers and found more clarity from top to bottom. Everything has a keener edge, I guess, well defined, might be a better way to put it. I listen to mostly jazz and vocals on vinyl and there was more than just a marginal improvement.

I'm with Paul on this one, for the $'s spent it was worth it.
