  1. Do you have web site or phone number? I'm looking for Cornwall type B crossovers. How do i contact you????
  2. Hi Chip, Don't let any of those Bozo's talk you into installing a series fuse!!! You will only create more harm, call me at work and I'll explain.
  3. Can anyone lend some advise about putting an inline fuse on my CW's and what value? Driving them with Dynaco MKlll's or sometimes a Fisher 800. Thanks!!!
  4. Hey Thebes, You've got my attention about your winter project. This past Holiday weekend caused me to miss a Fisher 400 beauty($225) on Craigslist. I may still be shopping for a second system when the winter passes so keep us/me posted. I'll check back with you after the Holidays. I have an in-law that may be local to you for p/u. What is your take on the Fisher(400, 500,800) Vs. the Scott models? Thanks, Chip
  5. It's time to cut the cord on the 980. Tubes will make any speaker sound better, especially your '33's. At least that has been the case with me. Have fun with whatever you decide!
  6. What timing? I too have an opp to buy a pair of MKlll's. I've been using them for a while now and they do sound much better than my SX-950. These are completely stock from at least 30 years ago, including the dust. The owner wants an offer from me but i just don't know what they're worth. Any ideas? Would they be that much better than one of those Chinese tubes for under $1,000? (for use on Corn's or KLF20's / room is 20x20 / music is 70's loud rock) Also are the Curcio mods worth all that money? Chip
  7. YES, @ the Delaware Water Gap. But i feel i'm getting the better end of the deal when i'm leaving.
  8. I would think an update is something i could do myself, but how do i get started? What parts would need changing and where to get them?[8-)]
  9. Don't know why the "E" tag pix won't show? last try.
  10. I don't know why one picture shows and the other with the "E" dosen't? I'll try one more time.
  11. Finally picked up my CWO's('77) in Pa. yesterday. What a pain driving with with the storm we had here in the east. i kind of cheated on the ride. i left from jersey but i had a lay over at my vacation home in the Poconos The seller(a super guy!) held off others for a week until i could get there. Unfortunately for me(and someone else) i had a wedding to attend last weekend and he was nice enough to hold them for me while others were chompin' at the bit. They were listed as good cabnetry but i feel the are VERY good to excellent. Any imperfections are only visable up close AND under good lighting! From 6 feet away they look like they're right out of the box. Don't know about the xovers yet, horns are metal. The grills are perfect. I want to thank everyone who helped educate me on these, from s/n build date to coaxing me to "go get them". i was happy with my KLF20's but these things fill the entire room so effortlessly!!! Even wifey is impressed. Anyone have any comments on the "E" version, i don't hear much about them?
  12. Hey Mike, I too will be picking up CWO's(I found out they're '77 with help from you guys at the forum)(s/n xxRxxx) from Pa. on Saturday[au]. These ARE the "E" model that was sent to Germany(just as the Klipsch label indicates). Question is, am i to understand both hi and mid horns better be metal and NOT composit?[8-|] I don't know what x's are inside nor will i care until after i can secure a tube amp for them.[8o|] All signs are pointing to a Dynaco ST-35 but that's not in stone. From my brief entrance to this site you seem to be the MAYOR, so i thought i'd ask.[] pardon all the smileys, i just get'n jiggy with them.[][6][:#][:-*][|-)][:'(][{][pi][+o(] chip
  13. for what it's worth i'm also a favorite of KLF. i have 20's on a Pioneer sx-950. for a while i pulled the pins on the back and used the preamp to drive the dynaco's and have to say there was a very big improvement using tubes. Just wanted you to know. Chip
  14. Thanks Joe for the sound advice! i was reallt hoping someone would I.D. the date for me as you did. how is someone supposed to know the "R" indicates 1977? i have a pair of KLF20's but wouldn't know how to date them either. Anyway, i'm new here and you ALL guys have been absolutely wonderful in helping me. Thanks!
