Would RCA make it an analog connection (using Airport DAC)?
I think from what I read, I need the Airport digital output to use my receiver's DAC.
-
I found an old AirPort Express A1084 on craigslist. So I think I just need an Optical to 3.5mm adapter and connect the optical cable to my pre-amp.
-
Thanks, that sounds promising. I'll see if I can track one down and give it a try.

I would like to stream audio files from my PC to my Outlaw 950 preamp (no wifi or hdmi).
If I connected an older Apple Airport device (RCA or optical outputs) to my Outlaw, would Airfoil for Windows work for me?

I tried to get it but he won't ship. No affiliation.

They are selling the RC-7 cheap, but no box or shipping (no affiliation).

A store a couple hours away from me is selling these, but they couldn't find the model numbers.
Anyone have any idea?

Watched my first Blu-ray and wow, what a difference in audio! I think I'll be selling my dvd collection.
(Pioneer BDP-320 hooked up via multi-channel outputs to Outlaw 950/HK Signature 2.1)
welcome to high definition my friend. but to me you should have noticed upgraded video quality over the audio. i have lots of good dvd's that sound great on my gear but the picture quality is sub par especially on a big projection screen.
I have a Toshiba 34" crt 720p/1080i, so I'm assuming that's why I didn't notice any video change.
I still can't get over how the sound came alive switching from the dvd version of this movie to Blu-ray.

Well, I hope whoever sends me one thinks like you...

I'm not sure if shipping without the factory box is a good idea

still looking

Can you not find RB-51's. use search tempest and search all of America's Craigslist at once. I found a few really quick here in Missouri.
Great, thanks for the help

I am a huge fan of system synergy. So I like to always go with matching stuff. Only reason I recommended it. The RB-61's is a better bookshelf for sure but I would only buy it if had the rc-62. The horn is much larger in them and it would overpower the center in sound to my ears.
If I can't find RB-51's, would the RB-25's be a close match?

I appreciate the feedback. I'm trying to put together a cheap HT for a friend.
I'm also trying to find him an inexpensive receiver with 4 hdmi inputs. I found this Pioneer for $299 shipped at Best Buy:
Any other feedback would be great.

I browsed the Klipsch website, but could not figure out which bookshelf speakers match the RC-52.
Anyone know?

ok, thanks for the heads up

Sorry, I sent the pm to Teresa Wright. I'm looking for a pair myself.
hdmi y-adapter (2 sources into 1 tv input) ?
in Home Theater

I have an older Toshiba HD CRT with 1 hdmi input. I have 2 hdmi sources: cable box and Blu-ray.
When I watch a Blu-ray, I unplug the cable box hdmi from the tv, then plug in the Blu-ray hdmi.
Is it possible to connect some type of y-adapter to the tv, so I could connect both hdmi cables?
