  1. U mean, great standing position against the barracade........can't say I'm crazy about the venue, but it was very open and shoulder-to-shoulder standing room only! Reminders of my youth! Of course, RT's blog entry and fan postings revealed that he got off on the crowd and played accordingly. TRS "Too Rolling Stone" was cut short, but he jammed on "Hannah". IMHO, sonically speaking, I really thought "The Untold Tale" was performed the best, but it was a very lively crowd and concert.

  2. You would too, if you had to see my pictures........every damned one of them turned out blurred!

    (a) Either the (2) Marshall amps were too loud and vibrating my shutter, or

    (B) lack of flash, KILLED my shutter speed!

They've had a few technical issues while on tour, but then again, who doesn't? Robin makes a blog entry for each concert. I felt 18 again, right up front, 6-8 feet away from him. I hate to admit those standing only venues aren't for weary legs. Good thing, the ole' body can still maintain a (4) hour stand[:P]

  3. RIP JD (James Dewar).......In City Dreams really showcased Jimmy's vocal talent, and those (2) were destined for stardom.

    Both shows SOLD OUT

Rams Head Tavern Baltimore, MD (1600 approx)

    Birchmere, Alexandria, VA (700 approx)

So we both got screwed w/only 23 hours on our birthday (3/9). RT is 12 years older, and I was even lucky enough to obtain one of his guitar picks too[:D]

  4. ESPN said today that he (Ty Lawson) is not 100%, or even close, but the test will come Saturday night against Duke, so WATCH CAREFULLY!

Did anyone see the Stanford/UCLA game? I got home w/20..5 secs left just to see the horrendous foul call against Stanford.
Stanford IMHO won that game! The radio talk show on FSR (FOX) @ 1-2am was buzzing with hightened anxiety and disgust.

Don't be surprised if these (2) teams meet down the line again.
  5. Maybe its a sign of age, but IMHO, the MAJORITY of good music died 20 years ago. Now before you jump, I said the Majority, NOT ALL! My selection has narrowed greatly over the past 10-20 years.

Good thing you can still find some decent concerts with REASONABLE prices.

    Robin Trower - $30

    Candy Dulfer - $40

    Boney James $40

  6. Thanks OB for the correction! Forgot they keep changing, and I think more conference realignments are in store for 2008.

I can see UConn, but the Big East just doesn't impress me this year. All BIG MEN, but can they push the ball against fast-paced transition teams? OK , (4) from the Big East and certainly a better conference than the ACC this year! If Georgetown plays up to their potential, I just don't see anyone in the Big East who can take them down.

Once again, each of us has their own opinions, and that is what makes March Madness so interesting IMO.

The brackets are so crucially important (pairing and home/neutral vs away play)

BUT WHO, will be the upset team this year (outside the Top 25)?

  7. Hey how about them Maryland terrapins.........OR NOT!

Geez, memories of a Duke game from years' past!

GRRRRRR.......how can you blow a 20 point lead in 4 minutes?

    ASK MARYLAND, they know!

My thoughts going forward for the sweet sixteen (subject to change pending bracketology):

    Big TEN (Wisconsin/Perdue)

    Big East (Georgetown)

    ACC (NC)

    SEC (Tennessee/Vanderbilt/Memphis/Louisville)

    PAC 10 (UCLA/Stanford)

    BIG 12 (Texas/Texas A&M/Kansas/Kansas St)

    Mid-Majors and other conferences (Xavier/Marquette/)

  8. Even did a little acting:

    Remember, "Roadhouse"?

I'll be seeing Robin Trower Saturday night, and he'll be 63 Sunday. Not hard to remember since we share the same birthdate. 41 is just too young!

R.I.P. Jeff, and maybe a little "Hell to Pay" may be in order as a tribute tonight

  9. We've been discussing Mr. B on our f-body forums, and the general consensus is 60/40

dislike/like......I loved his wheel designs, but his bedside manner had room for much improvement.

Of course, I never met the man, and am only going off perception. I don't like criticizing people w/o actually meeting them in person, so for all I know maybe that was his style.

  10. WOW, what an impressive lineup:

  11. Picky and Colter - twin brothers by different Mothers!

That looks almost exactly like my HS yearbook photo (but I never was any good at the facial hair thing)

The resemblance is, uh, der, mmm, I find........very disturbing![:P][:D]

I can't say much, since my step-cousin (same age 51) has virtually no hairline left but still has long hair from his teens. I suppose that's still the R&R bass player coming out in him.

And I'm sure neither one of you were ever referred to as "Wild Thing"

That's OK boyz, Dr. Stevens has the secret:
