Here are the specs dated June 1983. Are replacement woofers available for either series? Also noticed the power handling wemt from 65 to 100 watts, and the freq response went from 55 hz down to 35 hz. I also see a passive radiator that wasn't on the original.

I didn't knpw that the original KG2 was changed about a year after the initial introduction. The tweeter crossover freq. was lowered from 3000 hz to 1800 hz, and the impedance dropped, sensitivity went up slightly. See series two specs below.

I think I have a brochure on this speaker, I'll try to find it if you like Spectrum was based in Toledo. -

Spectrum 208a. Look back in Stereophile, I remember them being reviewed quite favorably -
Loudspeaker compression (why a 200+ WPC amp doesn't help KHorns)

Haven't heard the RF3's, but I relate to the type of sound you referred to. It took me almost 20 years to get it out of my La Scalas. Klipsch's tend toward dry, crisp, clean 3rd-5th row sound. For a more mid to rear hall sound it take quite a bit of modding, but I'm pleased to report it is possible. -

The max sound pressure quote for example 121 db for the Klipschorn and La Scala is at 1 meter on axis. Dont confuse this spec with ones averaged into a reverberant space for a pair. It would be hard to compare the two...complex variables with room averaging...how reflective, what distances, etc. -

Here's the left side of the graph. It's the center spread of the catalog, not able to be scanned at once. -
