  1. This seems like a good deal...thoughts? Upgrading from my old RB-15's...
  2. I guess I am also not clear whether the RC25 is a significant upgrade over the RC52. Thanks all for any opinion on that.
  3. What does it mean for the center and fronts to "match"? Sorry, I'm not yet an audiofile...
  4. Also found this RC-25 Center today for $100...might pair well with the RF-25's above? KLIPSCH Series RC25 Black Center Speaker - $100 (Pflugerville)
  5. Hey, Been patiently waiting for a deal on Craigslist, eBay, etc. for new fronts and/or sub to replace my RB-15s and 8" sub respectively. Seeing a deal for RF-25s in Cherry for $400/pair. I know it's an upgrade over my little bookshelf speakers, but is that price right? Thanks for any thoughts. By the way, I have an RC52 center. Thanks. RF-25 Cherry Floor Standing Klipsch - $400 (Lakeway Area)
  6. I have an RC52 I am thinking of upgrading and might sell, if you are considering going that way...
  7. Found an RW12 locally for $150, seller claims it doesn't have the 'inferior' amp that the 12D has. Which sub is better, and is a 12D worth $150? Thanks.
  8. Suggestions on stands for the RB-15s (type, brand, material, stores/sources, new/used)? Thanks again all.
  9. Any suggestions for good (but not over the top) speaker stands for RB-15s? Thanks for any thoughts on brand/material/sources.
  10. Thanks guys. Several of you have suggested keeping an eye out for used equipment on CraigsList or eBay. I assume you all have had good luck with used stuff? By the way, it seems to me the RF-62 IIs currently at Crutchfield for $299 each ($200 off ea., supposedly) is a decent deal for something new.
  11. Maybe hard to tell but ceiling is angled above TV...maybe good for in-ceiling high fronts?
  12. Will have to figure out how to upload photos here (asking for url??)
  13. A little surprised you and others are suggesting a new sub...thought that would be last on the list of suggestions for some reason. I must be missing something with my current sub, eh? It is also pretty old...
  14. That is a mighty large room for those small bookshelves to try and fill. I would definitely go with floor standing speakers. Lots of great options there, especially in the used market. What is your zip code? 78681 - Austin TX area
  15. I was thinking of some new fronts, Crutchfield has RF 62 IIs on sale for $299 each...
  16. Yes, here are a few more details: Room is decent size 21' x 30', but weird acoustically as one side wall is 1/2 open to the foyer, I do have room for floorstanding speakers, yes, Movies 60% of the time, games 40%, Budget is TBD... Thanks.
  17. Hey all, Admitted audio neophyte here who just happens to have become a Klipsch man many years ago by accident, and have never owned anything else. Over the years I've cobbled together the following audio setup for my home "theater": Onkyo TX SR607 (90w per channel 8 ohms) Klipsch RB-15 bookshelf speakers for front left/right (speaker was first introduced in 2003 and stopped mfg in 2006!!) Klipsch RC-52 center speaker Klipsch RW-8 subwoofer Klipsch R-1650C wall/ceiling speakers (currently being used as surround left/right) So, I really have no idea how well this setup works together since I bought every single item at different times over years...usually while it was on sale... My questions are: Are there any obvious issues/mistakes with the way these speakers 'match up' (or don't match up)? Do I need to worry about it? If I wanted to start upgrading bits of this system, what should I get rid of first (maybe the old RB-15s?)? Do you think the next addition should be? rear surrounds or high fronts or new front left/right? New receiver? The setup sounds o.k., but again not being a true audiophile I wouldn't probably know if there was a big deficiency in my system or not... Thanks for any and all thoughts on this setup and what to fix, optimize, consider.
  18. Thanks Wuzzzer. BTW, how do you like that JVC 56"?
  19. Does my center channel choice matter that much?? OK, I am slowly adding pieces to my little home audio setup. So far I have: Yamaha RX-V640 Receiver Klipsch RB-15 bookshelf speakers Klipsch RW-8 Subwoofer Now considering getting the RC-52 vs. RC-62. I'm I going to notice a big difference in my setup and/or is it worth the extra $200 or so? Thanks for any thoughts. JSC
