  1. Harry is alright. This upgrade fever started with a Tascam CD player that I bought from him for $35. Then I progressed into new speakers, tube amps, a tube integrated amp for another room, . Then some more speakers etc. etc. etc. , but I'm now enjoying music again.

He has done lots of work for me, Harry fixed a couple of tube amps that I'd killed and needed work. Didn't charge me. Helped me find some good deals online also. Kinda taking me under his wing and just showing me the ropes. It's great to get out of the house and visit with someone who appreciates good music, Klipsch, and tube amps. Stuff the wife and kids have no use for. Thanks for everything.

    Your friend.

  2. When I converted my living room to a home theater I used ceiling planks from Armstrong. My theater is about 14x20 My daughter and I put this up in a couple of weekends before her open house graduation party. They are not cheap but look like real wood although they are a laminate. Not cheap though. I would try to keep a fan out if at all possible. You will have the fan from the projector maybe a computer, the fans all drive me nuts. Here is a link for the ceiling planks,

  3. Got to give HarryO a plug here .He loves changing things but it sounds great, now. Haven't listened to as many systems as others here, and don't have "Golden Ears", but I know what I like and Harry's gear sounds great. Is there a band in the closet?.

Mines not there now.....but maybe someday soon. Got more "explaining and justifing" to do with the wife. It seems like I'm always wanting to change things now. I'm coming down with this dreaded "stereo upgrading disease". Next on the list, new speakers like HarryO's Wallrus.

I'm just one step away from being back in the doghouse. BadDad, BadDad

  4. I'll be happy to keep now or later.... it sounds like it would be better for wpines since he has the need to ship some cornwalls soon. Some day I'll be looking for some cornwalls only have Kp-201's now. I'll Let you guys decide where to send them. I'm just trying to be a newbie that could help.

  5. If there is anyway to get the vault to Indianapolis, I could store in my warehouse. I have 20,000 square feet of storage I'm sure I can give up a few feet. Also have truck dock, pallet jack, and truck to haul. Just wouldn't want to make trip to pick up. Now if only somehow it could get to Indy? Is anyone making a trip to the holyland?

  6. Thanks for the audiogon hint. I have bought a baldwin stereo amp from a guy there named Will, that I'm waiting to receive. Sent a deposit, now I need to send the rest of the money. I had just bought this pictured amp right before Will's. This one is just very interesting to me because of the transformers. Went over to Harry O's today and he helped me get the pictured amp set up with NOS tubes. Waiting for it to break in, but sounds good to me now. Will only sound better later, after broken in.

  7. Was wondering if anyone knows anything about this tube amp I just bought. I was told possibly a baldwin. Using now as a center channel amp and looking for another one or two. I don't know where to start. I thought that maybe it came out of an old organ. Has two very large Triad Transformer. The blue transformer is a R21A. The tubes are (1) 5v4, (2) 5881, and (2) 6sn7. Thanks for any and all help.

  8. Just a little warning about the Klipsch earbuds I listened to. There was only had one major negative I found with the headphones. If you touched the earbuds the resulting noise was very distracting. A very loud rumble! I guess you can't help this, but at the price that will be charged for the earbuds there will be alot of returns. I would think most people would find it an unacceptable flaw, in a very expensive set of headphones.

  9. I'm glad HarryO told me about these Baldwins for sale.

I have listened to his monoblock Baldwin's and was amazed at  the sound.

Of course he didn't want to part with them.  So I had to another tube amp

Any Tube amp would do.  Just so I got it quick.  So I bought a Harman Kardon A260 that i'm in love with now.

A tube newbie but i'm not going back to solid state.

Hearing music now for the first time. Can't wait for Will's Baldwin's
