  1. Justin,

It sounds like you need to go to a Local dealer for Klipsch. Where you could purchase everything you need, and check to see about future upgrades/tradeins. If you go with Klipsch, check the series in the form, to get the Matching recommendations for rear/center channel speakers. Start small and work up! But mostly work with a LOCAL dealer-for the service and support for this kind of money-they would most likely setup the system for you! Good luck rich guy!

  2. Ice,

For music, go with seperates Cambridge Audio, or Creek. You can buy a tuner, integrated amp for your price range.

If you are into HT go with Denon. The 1802 is a good mid priced model that should serve you well. hope this helps........bill

  3. Kenneth is correct. I have a system set up like this, where I have a 1/8 headphone connector with two connections coming out of my computer,I have cable (radio shack audio cable) running to two integrated amps where I just hook up to the AUX connection with a Y connector. I run two sets of speakers with no problems. I listen to Beethoven.com internet music. Total cost was about 12.00 dollars. Hope you get this done, I love listening to music thru my computer. regards

  4. Dave,

I listen to music thru my computer. I just plugged in a cable, (same size as my computer speakers). and ran it to my integrated amp,(creek), where I plugged it into the aux connection. I listen to internet radio beethoven.com and get great sound!

As far as cd players so look at cambridge audio, thru the audio advisor web site. They work well and are about 225.00 or less. regards

  5. Deang,

My experience is with CREEK Audio, hooked to SB-3 Klipsch's. I Love Creek for the simple construction, and wonderful power and sound. PRICE was my consideration. For 695.00 I got an Integrated Amp that is so powerful a 45w per channel, that I can't turn it up past 2 clicks.

A company that makes excellent equipment using creeks componets, is Cambridge Audio. It can be purchased even cheaper than Creek and works just as well. Good luck1.gif

  6. I just got a Creek integrated amp. Due to budget limitations (kids new glasses), I have to wait on the tuner.

Can I hook up my Klipsch speakers, and cd player to the amp and run it through my present Onkyo receiver? Or does anyone have other suggestions for me. New to this type of set up.

  7. Pete,

Don't want to confuse the issue, both are good. Reviews I've read says go with Onkyo as Denons quality seems to be in question.

Also if you want a good, no frills receiver, for movies- look into NAD 751 or 761. A little more money, but better quality that will go well with your Klipsch speakers. IMO

  8. Indy and everyone who made a comment Thanks. I went back to the Klipsch Dealer, who kindly refunded the major portion of my price. I then purchased the Correct length of speaker wire I needed. I have my Klipsch SB3's humming now, and love them. Again Thanks for your responses.

  9. I just became a Klipsch member, with the SB3's, which are wonderful.

I bought Kimber Kable,(I know don't beat me up), but the lengths I bought I find are about three feet to short on each side. Should I just admit I made a mistake and buy new, longer cable, OR is there a way to use connecters and make the wire longer?

Kimber Kable 4VS is the make of wire.

  10. Belial- If you haven't already purchased, you might check out the Wal-Mart.com web site. They were selling the Denon's last years model, 1801 for 329.00, and the 2802 for 499.00. Good Luck

Personally I like the Onkyo's for there easy to setup and use.
