The serial numbers are 1H755 and 1H756. The grill clothes look to be gold and brown.

I just picked up some Cornwall II's CWO15 for what I thought was a VERY good deal.[] I took the back off to try to figure out how to take the grills off and noticed the horns are vertical instead of horizontal. I've seen regular Cornwalls before and they were horizontal. Is it just with the Cornwall II's? Anyways....how do you take the grills off? Is there anywhere to get grill cloth that is the same as original?

I'm not sure if they are the earlier version or not. Both of the bottom ports measure 2 1/2 inches though.

I've always thought that they had a more balanced sound than any of the other Klipsch speakers that I've listened to. I thought that I was just biased though...lol

I have a pair of Epic series CF-4 speakers. Does anyone else have any speakers from the Epic series? Searching the forums, there aren't many posts on these speakers. Were they a flop and just didn't sell?

Thanks Bill, you're a life saver. I was leaning towards the laquer because of how it looked where part of the finish came off, but just didn't want to mess it up.

I was wanting to finish a TV stand to match my speakers and possibly refinish a SW-10 DV sub that's seen better days. The stickers on all of them just says "Satin Black"...but is satin black paint or satin black laquer. Any help would be greatly appreciated
