  1. I'm in the navy now (pilot), and I've noticed at all the exchanges/px's, buying anything electronic is a rip-off. I'm currently on surge to japan, but stationed in Hawaii. No kidding, last month, the sony 50 inch 720p rear projection TV I bought from circuit city in jan 05 for $2300 was being sold at the Kbay exchange for $2999.99 USED... last month. They simply do not keep up with quickly changing prices in this market, and have gone to what seems more of a profit making enterprise. I was looking at laptops before I went on deployment last thanksgiving, and the exchange price was $400 more that circuit city/amazon, etc. The digital camera I wanted, 230 bucks at amazon, 400 at the exchange. All they have now is overpriced Bose junk, or the typical HTiB. Its a shame. It seems they are intentionally ripping off unsuspecting customers thinking they are getting a good deal because its on base.
  2. thanks for the replies. How are the speakers secured to the stand ? do you drill holes, velcro, etc? Those Sanus ones are a bit pricy, but the Apollo ones look a little more reasonable.
  3. hi all, just joined up after picking up a set of Klipsch speakers. got the: RC52 Center RS42 Surrounds RB61 Bookshelfs RW12D sub Picked up a Onkyo 705 to power it all. Definite step up from the sony HTiB I got with my tv a few years back. My question is this: I'm looking for stands for the RB-61's, and Can't find any from Klipsch that are designed for them, so I found this website: http://www.audioadvisor.com/products.asp?dept=54&view_all=true with some stands which look like may fit. Anyone got any advice on what stands to get ? Also, do you have to drill holes in the bottom of the speaker, or is there some sort of bracket you can use? Thanks in advance, and yeah, the speakers rock.
