I'd just came back from HSU Research in Ananeim, CA. I auditioned their subwoofers and they are awesome subs at a great value. I was impressed with the VTF-15H MK2 but it's way TOO BIG for my taste. I really liked the ULS-15 MK2 in Rosenut.
After listening to these subwoofers I simply do not understand why some people got to have 18" and 21'' drivers with 1000's of watts amplifier.

I recently heard a single HSU VTF-15H MK2 and I was blown away. That is one awesome subwoofer. Over 100 LBS for that puppy.

I'd rather pay for a real sub. Klipsch can't make a sub. Sorry.
For music, I don't see how it wouldn't be good enough. 95 pounds, triple layer baffle, the cone area of three 12's which is more than the single sealed 18 you're looking at, 1,000 watts rms, plus it would match your towers instead of being flat black.
I think you may have a good point there. It's just that I hear they are a pain to setup.

I can get the Gamma 18 for $1200 and the PSA for $1650 in any veneer I want. I think the Gamma is looking real good at that price.

Should I put the sub in the front or on the side wall towards the back?

would you get the 1599 satin black finish? or would you splurge and get the nicer finish at 1799? quite the price difference then. i personally would rather have dual subs any day over a single. if buying the cheaper 1399 meant a matching down the road then i would go that way. if not then i would inquire about that cordovan cherry finish and if thats a reddish cherry that might closely resemble the merlot finish id get that
A matching subwoofer cabinet would look nice.
Maybe they would send you some hardwood samples.
The extra $200 is worth every penny, veneer is not cheap.
Yes, I called and he put some in the mail. I am sure I can get something close. So you guys think the dual is the way to go?

I like the nice wood veneer ones.

No, the amp is a Balanced Audio Technology 5 channel.
I set the treble on the Anthem at 0 db and the bass at minus 5. Need to keep experimenting until my acoustic panels get here.
-
No, I only have the Anthem AVM 50 in a 20A dedicated line.
-
I ordered 3 each panels 2X4' I will place one on each back wall corners and one behind the center channel.
-
For 3 channel I agree with Youthman's recommendation.
-
NAD makes some nice inexpensive amplifiers. I recommend a NAD 2700 THX They can be bridged to 400 W.
I used to have a pair and they were bullet proof.

After some serious research I have come down to these two subwoofers. I will only be using one and my main concern is Music 6 Channel SACD listening.
Here is my setup/room
Power Sound Audio S3000i

Reaction Audio Gamma 18 1400

Thanks to all of you in advance.

Those are the exact model I listened to. Best sound I ever heard in my life.

Did Sweet Thing ever Show?
-
I never heard anything better than Joseph speakers.
-
Yes they come with large and small adjustable ones

He just issued a full refund stating: NO STOCK. I bet he made a boo boo on the website.
-
It's the same room. I'd just bought an area rug 8X10. Also ordered 3 each 2X8' acoustic panels. Maybe 4ohms had something to do with it. They hurt my ears sometimes.

he just issued me a Full refund. He says No Stock. It was a typo I am sure.
-
If they sound as good as wired speakers, I'll be impressed.
-
Too big for me. Otherwise very nice indeed.
Please help me choose between these two SUBS.
